I'm in Scarborough on holiday just now, staying right next to the ground, so popped in to watch the morning session. Lovely venue and was impressed by Whitfield's knock.
 
According to Marty (well someone has messaged in) Phil isn’t umpiring, it’s an error. He was apparently due to umpire last week but was told he couldn’t, suspect it’s the same issue this game too.
 
Unfortunately it seems like Johnny Bushnell has fallen right out of contention. Whilst McKinney doesn’t appear to have done anything to force his way into the thinking after featuring in the pre-season games.

Will be interesting to see how much and how well Gibson bowls.

I watched him score 158 at Burnopfield v Lancs 2nds last week (followed by 44 in the 2nd inns). Normally that may have been enough for a run in the first XI but as we all know there's 'No Vacancies' in the Top 6 at the moment.

Anybody know much about Dan Hogg who is an academy player currently playing in this match. Heard at the Riverside yesterday he is likely to get a few games in the 50 over comp. Apparently plays club cricket at Durham City.
