3rd test - Headingley

If England's fielding had been equal to Australia's during the series so far, we'd be at worst 1-1, possibly 2-0 up and well on top in this match.
Exactly that’s why this test series should be more of extreme frustration rather than all doom and gloom.

The fine margins and big moments gone they way, but the overall play of us needs fine tuning not overhauling as some have suggested

The legitimate concern is that there isn't room for fine tuning in the mentality. The last 3 tests basically nothing has changed in how England have approached the circumstances and in their failure at points to read them and an almost invincible belief in the approach being correct
Bairstow has some cheek mind the way he’s performed in this test.
Always the shite players who are most lippy

Yeah I tend to agree, an attacking method imo is undoubtedly the way to go for this team and that has been proven clearly as far as I am concerned.

However the lack of reading the game situation has been very concerning at times and they failure to adapt.

Really hope if we lose this series loads don’t call for this approach to be abandoned as that would be wrong but certainly needs fine tuning

The truth is even if this is Bazball at its worst its better than three years ago at its best

But I feel like it's entirely related to this group of players. I don't see it as a new Test Cricket school that England can aspire to long term. It's a holding action not a dependable approach.

Well yeah I know this is the biggest series of all and emotions run high understandably but we have been well in all the test matches, and our approach needs to be more adaptable and more flexible.

Loads of posters have made that valid point.

We need to keep the faith in Mccullum and Stokes going forward imo

Agreed I just hope what they say behind closed doors is a bit more constructive than what has been said in postmatch interviews.

It's hard to say on evidence on our batting in this test if they do.
