Durham 2nd xi T20

Enjoyable day yesterday and good to see McKinney scoring a big century against an experienced Lancs side.

First time I've visited the Burnopfield ground - it seems to be twice the size of Jesmond where I last saw Durham 2nds play the same opponents in a red ball game.

I can second that, cracking little cafe
I'm gonna try and get along in Wednesday again and will get in early and sample it. My plan was ruined by the fact it shuts in the middle of the day

Lovely ground, cake facilities were excellent

Raining quite heavily now. Bohannon made his century before they went off.

No sooner did I post that and the rain stopped

Presume Haydon Mustard is Phil's son? Canny knock for a 16 year old.
Yes, I said this on the first page if you look back. He and his brother play their club cricket at Benwell Hill. I played against his younger brother, Rory, for CLS CC seconds at BHCC 2 for 3 weeks ago.

I see Sol Bell is playing for Warwickshire 2nd XI
I played with and against him since being 9 and he was along with Bushnell the best bat I ever saw coming through the DCB. I was astonished, given all the time and energy that the DCB spent on SOL over the years when they discarded him so early.

He was with Derbyshire last year and they didn't take Sol but I hope he resurrects his cricketing career and proves the DCB wrong.

All the best Sol!
