Reality check delivered tonight I think, early campaign form seems to have been a substantial overachievement. It’s hard to take a team seriously if they lose two games in a week to a Leicestershire team who’ve lost the other 6 games they’ve played in.

We all got a bit giddy, but perhaps this is simply who we are. Sowter aside our spin hasn’t been particularly threatening or economical but I’d still say Turner hasn’t been used enough.

Not sure the captaincy and coaching has been great either regarding bowling/fielding plans.

The pace bowling has become a real problem, but it looks a different proposition with Carse and Coughlin available.

Good time for the proper cricket to return anyway, see where we are when we’ve had a fortnight off - ultimately, with the group wide open, we still have a chance of qualification 🤷‍♂️

Think the young lad Robinson was brought in too early which tipped the scales. Straight pace in the powerplay from an inexperienced young lad seems a bit of a gift. Surely the game is to try and frustrate for 6 overs.

They didn’t bowl him in the powerplay in his debut (from memory) and then tonight he bowled one over which got some tap and didn’t return - it’s a bloody tough school this T20 - but I think he should’ve been given another go, it’s not like he could’ve done much worse than anyone else up to that point.

Definitely worth him getting another over, the game was lost early and it won’t have done his confidence any good.

I just think it was a poor choice to bring him on in the powerplay which gifted them the initiative. I’d go as far as saying the tactics yesterday and tonight lost the game.
