Bid rejected for Clarke

Agents don't work like that.

They are parasites.

He'll try and push through the biggest deal to get his cut. He will then approach other kids and say look at the deal I got for him, sign with me.

To me they are in the same bracket as solicitors and estate agents.
What about Roberts agent? Can’t label all agents just because of the greedy bastards out there

So, if we sold him for £20m we'd gave the same money Tottenham valued Clarke at then? One step forward two back, that.

I'd much rather stick with what we know
It's the way to get good quality players for little up front cost though. Takes pretty much all of the risk out of the purchase, and if we sell him for £20m then we'd be making £10m on him.

We've done similar deals to get the likes of Roberts and Ekwah on free transfers.

Roberts was a free transfer he was out of contract. We loaned him and then signed him on a free

He's happy here apparently, has plenty of time left, is English and is still young, clubs bidding less than £20m given the obscene amount of money in the PL are just piss taking thinking they can get one over on silly old Sunderland.

Hopefully we don't cave to send a message that we aren't ran by idiots anymore. (I hope)
