Was talking to my mate today about a pint of lager called ARC. I’m sure they used to serve it in luma on park lane. The glass spun round in the tray thing and it it used to come out like a lager slush puppy anyone remember that?

Aye. Only had it in the Inn place at Hall Farm. We went in the day the tap was installed and the landlord gave us a couple of freebies to try. I don't think it was in there long. My memory might be incorrect but I think the machine just put a layer of ice on the outside of the glass?

Wow I'd forgotten about that.
There was a bar in Darlington called Route 66 that had it. The glass came out of the freezer, the machine misted water onto the inside of the glass so it froze instantly into a sheet of ice.

Then when the ice cold beer went in you got the ice break off and float to the surface just under the head.

Same place had a vodka and redbull knockoff called V on draught as well

Prob both still going tbh but never see them anywhere. Don't see Budvar many places these days either.

Not that I drink these but seems like all the alcopop drinks are out of fashion (and have been for a while), pubs I used to work in used to sell loads back in the day - Smirnoff Ice, Bacardi Breezer, VK, Metz, WKD, Red Square, Hooch, Reef, Archers Aqua.

You don't see stuff like Castaway, Diamond White, bottled Snowball etc either.

Hooch is a out again but don't know how popular it is this time round. Doesn't taste as good as it did when I was 15.
