Bid rejected for Clarke

7 or 8 clubs interested in Clarke probably two who could afford him Aston Villa or Crystal Palace. But will they be able to meet Sunderland asking price for him.

Makes sense for Palace for a Zaha replacement if he goes - could see him doing well at Brentford but so does everyone at the moment

Look he will be going nowhere, unless huge amount of money is handed over.KLD isnt gonna chuck vast sums in at the moment but he certainly doesnt need to accept shit bids either.

KLD will never chuck vast sums in mate!get used to it ,as forlorn hope is the saddest hope of them all! There will never be some mythical point in time when KLD will open his pocket book .............its sad i know just like all those fans who have been waiting for some magical time when Santi is supposed to splash the cash .. i think the first point was when we reached the championship he was going to fund a promotion push out of his own pocket ..now i guess it will be when we get to the prem!..it aint going to happen and its not as if they haven't been telling us ..it sustainability or nowt!

If Clarke leaves i hope he is sensible and moves somewhere he is going to get the chance to play every week - we will get good value for him -
personally I have found him a joy to watch - reminds me of waddle - languid style but creates havoc and often delivers genius
He's been as important as Amad for me in the best footballing SAFC side I have ever seen - dont sit on the bench anywhere son - your better than that

SMB hivemind thinks so....

Hard to keep a player if they are offered a massive salary increase
To be fair, he shouldn't be offered any salary by any club until his current club have accepted a bid. I'm aware this probably happens all the time, but it shouldn't.

If he goes I’ll be gutted but, if we get good money then I accept that’s the way we are going to work and, I suspect he won’t be the last player I’ll be gutted to see leave.

It’s just important that we re-invest any money well.

I do hope though, if he goes, he picks well, and goes somewhere where he will play and get the chance to develop, not bench warm or worse, not even get into the squad.
