Franklin named assistant Windies ODI Coach

Gets unfair stick on here like, not in that he was a good coach, I dont think he was for us, but that does not make him a bad person. I am no ITK, but cricket is a small world like, and have not really talked to anyone who had a bad work to say against him as a bloke or anything like that, despite rumours on here.

Reversed the rot in 2019 but lost the plot after that. A solid 5/10

What I was told about him came from people well within the club. If that's a "rumour" then fair enough but you only have to look at the morals/team togetherness/results to work it out in my opinion. The players are far more confident, happy, chatty, spring in their step. Glad he's gone but as some on here who attend regularly will vouch, during his time at Durham I never heard anyone say a good word about him or say "it's a shame he left". (None of the players did either). Good luck to him but I'd personally not wish him on anyone. His record at Durham was abysmal.

One thing I remember is when it was announced Franklin was leaving, fb was awash with comments by fans saying negative things about him. Jack Campbell's mother gave a like to a lot of those comments.

Former physio did as well. I've had ex players who still play cricket up here in the NEPL "like" comments recently as well alluding to Franklin and his negativity & treatment towards some players. Not a single player tweeted "good luck" when it was announced he left. That tells you everything

Nothing to do with anything I just said though.

As I said, I thouht he ended up a poor coach for us, but that does not make him a bad person does it.

Jack Campbell is not someone to back on behaviour like.
