Bid rejected for Clarke

Yeah. I mean I'm happy with it (could have been a little more flexible in January with a striker maybe) but curious as to how they'll manage replacing those like Clarke attracting interest at the same time they're probably looking at strikers, Stewarts contract, Evans' age/injuries having lost Amad and haven't yet really integrated Lihadji/ Bennette yet.

There's a lot of promise in the squad, but so many of the promising ones had decent chunks out with injury last season. Lads who I thought may be moved aside like Onien, Gooch and even Pritchard (Embleton but injured) would largely still be integral squad members when fit.

I think the versatility of O'Nien and Gooch means they're key to the squad. As you say, an extra striker in January could have maybe made a difference (although, as it turns out, an extra centre back who Mowbray trusted to play, might have been more useful). We're clearly a work in progress but we have more in demand players than I ever remember.

I think Bennette has probably done as well as expected in his first season, given his age.. I was slightly disappointed that Lihadji wasn't a bit more ready for the team. Would have liked to see him have more game time. Anderson is another I was a little disappointed with, as far as first team game time was concerned.

Pritchard's an odd one. At times this season, he's not been great, and he clearly can't play in a midfield two, but toward the end of the season, he was excellent. Embo's strength is his goals from midfield. I think he's at his top limit as a Championship player.

I'm not sure why Rangers are being linked with him? Where the f*ck are they pulling 16m+ from to sign 1 player? They paid 7m for Ryan Kent, 4 or 5 years ago, and that's the highest fee they've paid for anyone in the last 23 years.

Their record signing was Tore Andre Flo, in 2000 for 12m. They haven't sent anywhere near that on anyone since. They're just not financially in the conversation of spending 15-20m on Jack Clarke. Its just nonsense.

Rangers couldn’t afford Kenneth Clarke never mind Jack Clarke.

I was surprised at how much involvement Pritchard had in the build up to goals from watching that video with them all on.

I suspect the analysis of his performances using the data and way they break it down makes him more influential than we notice as spectators/supporters.

I think we need to start to come to terms with the idea that he will be off this summer
why?

I agree, and I am not his biggest fan
