Bid rejected for Clarke

I would want it all up front, rather than making it easy for another club with add ons. If they really want him splash the cash.

I would prefer that we keep him though.
I'd want both, why shouldn't we be the ones taking the piss for a change. You want him we want big money with add-ons. We don't need to sell take clubs eyes out were due doing it for a change.

That article contradicts itself perfectly. One breath they're saying sources suggest we're highly likely to sell, then a few sentences later says we play to offer him a new deal to fend off interest.

First class journalism.

He is going nowhere.
It's f***ing speculative horseshit.... RR would be embarrassed if they shat out that

Every other other article I’ve read has said the club are working on a deal for JC
to ward off interest since the first bid came in
Exactly. It's either Clarke staying, or he goes for the highest transfer fee the club has ever received.

£30 million for Pickford

£30 million for Pickford

Did we really get that for Pickford? I seen a lot of different numbers being quoted at the time.

That’s the fee I remember quoted says £25 million rising to £30 with add ons here

Everton

2017–18 season

On 15 June 2017, Pickford signed for Premier League club on a five-year contract. The initial fee of £25 million, with the possibility of rising to £30 million in add-ons, made him at the time, the most expensive British goalkeeper of all time and will make him Everton's second most expensive signing, pending add-on payments, as is currently the club's most expensive signing with £40 million plus add-on payments. Pickford made his league debut for Everton on 12 August 2017, when his club beat 1–0 at Goodison Park. At the conclusion of his first season, he was named Everton's Player of the Season, along with numerous other club accolades.

I remember between 23/25m.

Ah well, my comment still stands on Clarke being our next highest then. That should be the aim when we're happy to keep him.

These types of articles don't appear by accident by the way.

The club will be leaking stuff to them so that the reaction isn't as bad when he is sold.

Clubs do it all the time. West Ham have been at it with Rice for weeks now.

Selling him isn't necessarily the wrong decision either. It depends how much its for.
