As others have said, losing Amad and Clarke this summer, would be just too much of a loss to our attack.

That's a lot of goals and assists to replace. Without even adding in the dribbling of Clarke that dragged us up the pitch at timesAs others have said, losing Amad and Clarke this summer, would be just too much of a loss to our attack.
Just feels like too much Hank. We were exciting to watch and always in with a chance in games because of those players. Replacing 1, so be it as we all knew Amad was temporary. I get the impression Clarke is really settled here, so think he'll be here another season at least.Unless we replace them with better
I get club may need to sell an asset to reinvest and although we'd all love us to keep our better players and still spend, I'm realistic enough to understand thats not how we'll be ran. Like you say, losing both would be massive tbh and we'd almost have to change everything on how we attack, which was what made us so good to watch. The club aren't daft though and will know this. That's a lot of goals and assists to replace. Without even adding in the dribbling of Clarke that dragged us up the pitch at times

Now it would be fun if the model was to find exciting young players who didn’t quite make it elsewhere and build a winning team with them.I have a feeling we don't have to sell anyone unless they ask to go
If the recruitment team pull off the signings like last summer we could have a team promoted from the championship just like that for a £10 million outlay. Now it would be fun if the model was to find exciting young players who didn’t quite make it elsewhere and build a winning team with them.
Fuck me. Arguing for arguings sake here even went to the bother of actually listing some of the paltry fees we recoupedDo we? I'd argue our problem is more that we haven't sold anywhere near enough players over the years, as opposed to us selling the ones we have for too cheap. The ones we have sold we normally get decent money for. It's just most of our signings have been too old/ over the hill to actually make a profit on, most have just left on free transfers or too championship clubs etc. Then anyone we did sell we've just failed to replace properly - which makes the transfer look shit.
You have to go all the way back to 2012 to get to our last ten players sold for money to PL teams (where all the money is). Of those (bearing in mind inflation in the transfer prices since 2012-2015 ish ) i'd argue only Sess and Richardson were undervalued - and one of those was because we had an unstable manager running the club who he fell out with, and the other put in a transfer request and forced our hand. The rest we've probably done well with tbh. Obviously, as I said before, with the likes of Pickford and Kaboul it was more that we wasted their money rather than getting an adequate replacement.
Our last ten sold to PL teams
Pickford to Everton - 28m
PVA to Palace - 10.5m
Kaboul to Watford - 4m
Wickham to Palace - 10m
Mig to Liverpool - 10.6m
Sess to West Brom - 7m
James McClean to Wigan - 2.3m
Elmo to Hull - 2m
Richardson to Fulham - 2m
Turner to Norwich - 1.5m
Such as who?
Do we have a history of that?

Was funny how you tried to draw me in to have a good old argument and get other argumentative saddos on my case. That’s not exactly supporting your post. You’ve suggested 0 names and 3 smilies
Interestingly the second tier podcast rattled off a load of per game stats for last seasons championship. Clarke appeared twice where Roberts made the list in four separate categories. Roberts was a better chance creator and ball carrier than Clarke. PR shouldn’t be sniffed at. He’s super important to us.Roberts is not in the same league as Clarke. Any Premiership club could have picked up Roberts over the last few years. Clarke is much younger and will play most of his career in the Prem imo.
No what I was saying is Clarke said Roberts was the same as him as in he's happy and found a "home" where he feels part of something. I get a feeling Roberts will be even better next season, but what a squad we have. Best thing is we're still under rated by the pundits, steady away under the radar.Roberts is not in the same league as Clarke. Exactly. We do not know how this plays out. We've sold no one to get into the current position. The club has got us into a cracking position where we have a lot of desirable players. They've said they're not just coming in to chuck 100s of millions at it. But as of yet we don't know when we'll sell and at what prices we sell.I have a feeling we don't have to sell anyone unless they ask to go
Spot on, and the owners could fund that. As they have done so far. We'll obviously know more by the end of this window. If the recruitment team pull off the signings like last summer we could have a team promoted from the championship just like that for a £10 million outlay.
Not bad when you think the reward for promotion is £100 million
That's probably an unrealistic ask mind.Unless we replace them with better
I honestly can’t think of any players we’ve let go for buttons that went on to have class careersFuck me. Arguing for arguings sake here even went to the bother of actually listing some of the paltry fees we recouped

What are you on about? Get other people on your case? I don’t know any of those posters. Was funny how you tried to draw me in to have a good old argument and get other argumentative saddos on my case.
Check Harrogate Mackems postgoodness me. Some absolute shockers on there. Not to mention the decent ones we lost on Bosmans over the years having failed to secure them to a long term deal (of which Ross Stewart will be another shortly).
Stuart Donald does not like thisIf the recruitment team pull off the signings like last summer we could have a team promoted from the championship just like that for a £10 million outlay.

nice little misconstrue of my words accidentally on purpose.I honestly can’t think of any players we’ve let go for buttons that went on to have class careers
You couldnt say any of them players were let go on the cheap? Behave manWhat are you on about? Get other people on your case? I don’t know any of those posters.
You made a suggestion and I was curious to know which players you had in mind, because none came to my mind. That’s not getting on your case it’s just asking for some detail to your assertion. It was a pretty straightforward question
