carse would have been handy in place of de leede but that’s not happening

I think they underbowled turner , missed a trick there with him

I was going to watch it but that news came earlier. I’ll watch it tomorrow now

I enjoyed this match though. Some quality on show from both teams

obviously we lost but I’m not too discouraged. Just need to tighten up in a couple of areas for me .

Totally get that but beaten by a very good side tonight and we took it close. Improvements are clear to see, it's not an overnight fix this as a lot of damage was done under the last regime. Brief chat with some players after the game whilst the nephew got his book signed, they all seem in good spirits and know they're improving. It will take time we'll get better I'm sure of it

was fractions tonight with the mooores innings , that helped them

de leede will learn he can’t bowl short at Durham in a t20.

we still had four top performances on the night

- First game of the season for me. Thought the club put on a great occasion in terms of the live acoustic act, games for kids etc
- Hales masterclass. Ten years ago he might have carried on blasting after the powerplay but he absolutely bossed it instead
- Highlight was Jamie’s Freddie Mercury display
- A noticeable amount of extra Saudi shirts tonight - depressing
- Sowter already seems to have a reputation given the way they respected him tonight.
 
T20 is a knife edge of a game.

We didn't score enough, lost our way in the second half. We are a batter short De Leede isn't a 6.

Bedders obviously that missing player but needs must with the seamer shortage.

Not sure what the point of Doneathy when he isn't bowling.

Should really have used more off the pace bowling pretty quickly we had 16 overs if we wanted to.

T20 bowling now unless it's offering something is definitely geared towards the slower bowlers.

Unfortunately after a first good few overs De Leede has looked like come and hit me bowling. I don't know how much more we have him before he flies to Zimbabwe anyway.

I was really surprised that Shaheen got promoted. Janes too as thought Moores Mullaney and Patel all ahead in the ordinary order which I think tells you they had a lot less pressure on getting the runs to mix it up.

But am I the only one annoyed he was watching this rather than Durham
