Ollie Robinson

do we have future England player on our hands here? Even though he was on loan last year he kind of passed me by. But he just looks utter class in everything he does. Both red and white ball. His keeping is class, the ball melts in his gloves and even when he only gets a 20 or 30 it’s just great to watch

Hope he loves the north east and wants to stay here for a while!

Was called up by the England Lions in the winter so clearly on the radar. Still can't understand the thinking by Kent to let him go.
Only 24yo aswell
They've got Jordan Cox

But you'd have thought he's good enough as standalone batsman.

Guess his record for them wasn't how it's been for us.

But Alex Lees was the same for a while under Yorkshire and rejuvenated after a move.

Robinson is ahead of Cox is England's mind in my opinion

Smith and Rew not always keeping wicket at county every game
Rew and Cox both kept on the lions tour in Sri Lanka. Robinson didn't play once.

Bohannon and Smith kept too.

Rew obviously got Davies as a senior at Somerset but his batting has been great.

Edit: Robinson played the warmup game but Bohannon kept

And Sam Billings.

Said at the time I think Robinson is a sensational signing. Not often players like that come available, good sign that he chose to come to us.

Smith never going to keep for Surrey though is he?

maybe like, still wouldnt rule out Robinson, he is the main man in all 3 formats

Despite Robinson not playing against SrI Lanka A. He will keep every game.

Whereas other 3 battling with much senior and established keepers Rew/Davies, Smith/Foakes and Cox/Billings.

Is Salt behind Vilas as well @Steak Pie?

Aye as I went onto say he's got a Ben Foakes barrier ahead of him.

He's currently the main keeper for the T20s and then guess he'll be at the Hundred too.
