Ivan Toney

Have you read the charges? He's bet on himself to score and his club he's employed with to lose etc.

Hes been betting on his own games. Not just on random football matches.

I hadn’t to be honest mate, but if that’s the case then I don’t think anyone can complain about the ban.

Yeah I guess when you put it like that, but I guess what I mean is I’m seeing a lot of moral outrage towards it. I don’t get that. I’m not being deliberately contradictory here either just being honest

He’s been brilliant for Brentford so if I was their fan I wouldn’t be outraged personally

Said he wasn’t playing in them like
The moral outrage is that fans have a strong connection to their team and pay good money to follow them.
When this kind of thing goes on you have to ask exactly what influence his betting has had on not only his team's performance, but the results of other teams.
Can you remember when Chopra seemed to deliberately fluff that shot against the Mags? Can you remember the accusations on here?
Well imagine a player of yours has actually been betting on his own team to lose.

Say you had a bet on one of the games he put money on; would you have a civil case to claim he used insider information to negatively affect the odds you received?
