I’m not desperate to lose any wicket
What I’m desperate is not to see Crawley doing what he has done throughout his career at championship and test level
Right arm over , caught second or third slip
Left arm over , lbw , bowled or thin to wk or first slip
Southee and Boult did this last year
Hazelwood and Starc are coming
I’m also desperate to not see him dropping slip catches but having watched him drop 13 of the 26 possible catches he has had, then it’s very likely that will continue to Englands cost
I’m really desperate me
If foakes doesn't play then you'll more than likely be rightThe Rey said he’d celebrate!
Think he’ll score more runs than foakes this year meself
They would be gutted just like any England fan would be if our batsman get out earlier in a Ashes Test.Just imaging this board if Crawley, bairstow or Brook get out cheaply in first test !

You totally misread this board at times mate, just because people have varying views on who should make the side.
Still means whoever does make that side every England fan will clearly want them to do well.
You have not got elusive rights on been a passionate England and wanting England to do well.
We all do. Of course we do!!!
He's a walking test wicket mate, the Aussies will be delighted he is opening the battingI’m not desperate to lose any wicket

Totally agree. I hope I’m wrong thoughHe's a walking test wicket mate, the Aussies will be delighted he is opening the batting
I hope like you he proves everybody wrong, haven't seen anything yet mind to suggest he will.Totally agree. I hope I’m wrong though
Last summer by the end of the series the New Zealand bowlers barely celebrated his wicket. It was so routine and most of the forum spent hours discussing his body language , which screamed off get me out of here
It’s incredible he is still going to play until he is injured
No it won’t.Incredibly naive. It’ll be complete “I told you so”.
No it won’t.
Because people are grown ups and England winning is 1000 times more important than scoring points on here.
It’s more your mindset you need to look at if you think that.
I know you passionate mate, I get that but you don’t half come across as immature on here mind at times
When don't you meanOk book mark this then. Let’s see if there are absolutely no comments it Crawley nicks off to Cummins in the first session then

f***ing hell man surely you can see the difference to comments about a man out of form getting out, and people actually wanting it to happen.Ok book mark this then. Let’s see if there are absolutely no comments it Crawley nicks off to Cummins in the first session then

Which of course they don’t
You dead right of course people should not expect Crawley to average really high playing the way he does, and the set up obviously wants him to do that.Ha he will like yeah, if Crawley can get away a few times in the series and get off to a flyer, then he has done his job
Puttin all the crawley stuff aside, people are still judging this england team by old metrics, you arent going to get someone averaging anywhere near 40 opening the batting in England playing this way, so its pointless just going off the average.
You dead right of course people should not expect Crawley to average really high playing the way he does, and the set up obviously wants him to do that.
So I get that point absolutely fair enough.
But people are still allowed to say in their opinion he should not make the first choice side.
That is allowed and fair
