CC : Gloucestershire v Durham

Yes - ECB will be frantically thinking of ways to dock us points as we speak. Maybe deduct 50 pts for not stocking XL size County Championship shirts in the club shop.

We know you're joking but nobody whatsoever would be surprised if this happened.

I was gutted when Kuhneman got injured and his deal terminated, as I thought he was a cracking signing, but Patel looks even better. I can't remember the last time a Durham spinner took ten wickets, probably Breese.

Great win.

While Glos are second division Durham look a division better (so far, taking nothing for granted and hoping critical players don't lose too muchgame time).

It seems a very good decision to go for a spinner as the overseas pick. Too many overseas batsmen can't adjust quickly enough (Tom Latham aside, and he has loads of local experience). Also, in Kuhneman and Patel, whoever chose them is either a very good judge or is lucky. Patel looks top notch to me.

A last point ..... look who is top wicket taker in the 1st Division and who is top in the 2nd Division. Durham cricket!!
