Tony Mowbray

I didn't want him, but he's done a fantastic job and he deserves a chance to start next season as Manager, I just have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that he won't last the full season if he does.

Im usually wrong like.

As good as it has been under Mr Mowbray, you have to realise his position - he is not in control of his destiny. The only thing now for me is pre season - looking forward to it like a kid (I behave like one).
If we can make the progress of the season just gone, we will be on the right track - easier said than done.

Nah, he told reporters about some people supposedly knowing better than the rest🤷‍♂️

??
Probably being overly aggro after a disappointing night but we don’t need people stoking this stuff and trying to pin blame on people based on some spurious words from a mag journalist.

If he's replaced then so be it, but the replacement now has expectation the same as if TM stays. He's done an absolutely cracking job though.

It's TM who has brought all this up, not the journos. You still haven't answered regarding your remark regarding me posting about this?

It's hard to weigh him up as always looks miserable as sin. Done a great job but I get the impression he'd like a bit more control on stuff, which is understandable. What will be will be.

You do tend to accept the most negative view of the way the club is being run, at any opportunity.

Who says Mowbray has brought up anything? Simon Bird? Fuck off man. Of course the mag twat is shit stirring.

This would be so like Sunderland to sack him. Built a great rapport with a set of fans who overwhelmingly didn't want him. Got the team playing the best football some of us have ever witnessed from a Sunderland side. Been denied any credible striker for the majority of the season. Lost his Captain and every central defender in the club to long term injuries and still had us in it till the final whistle of the 2nd leg play off. Nobody could have done better than he has. We will be a f***ing laughing stock and rightly so if he's replaced.

Scott Wilson broke it, who covers Sunderland games. Oh do fuck off.

Not having a go at him here but don’t his training methods pretty much guarantee he never has a fully fit squad?

Has been a trend through his career supposedly. Blackburn fan in here the other day was saying that players injured all the time under him haven’t been injured since he left. Might be a coincidence
He doesn’t personally train the players you know the coaches do and they aren’t same ones as at Blackburn

He'll be off. Done a brilliant job, love him, but also think we could do even better.
By appointing a coach who nobody knows fuck all about ,has hardly set the world on fire and whose biggest claim to fame is he was goalkeeping coach under the present Brighton manager .
What could possibly go wrong ?
He's only got 2 years left anyhow.

I love Mowbray and I'd like him to stay, but as I've said before, you have to trust the process. He was appointed at a time when we were desperate for a manager. If someone we think is better has become available, then I'm all for it.
Can you name a few realistic alternatives that you think will be better ?

I think continuity is important. Chopping & changing will unsettle everything.
Mowbray is building something here. Give him another year with a fit squad to choose from.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he was told he was off pre match and the players knew about it. That was not a happy team last night.

Complete bunkum.
Did you not see the pictures and video of the team on their pre match walk before the game, all relaxed and smiles.

They looked unhappy as they were a young team in a hostile atmosphere who were struggling to compete.

Brendon Rodgers. Graham Potter. are the only two I would say could get you promoted to the premier league & keep us their.

Really not sure about all this, rumours won't go away, little bits coming out in the written press that read like he hasn't been given any assurances over next year.

IF he does go the new bloke has to hit the ground running
