It happens in football. We will come back stronger from this. I think Luton deserved it over the 2 legs. No complaints.

Luton have more quality throughout their side than we do.

They deserve a wembley shot after finishing 3rd.

We can build on this and I expect us to be challenging top 6 again next season.

It will be a tougher league next season imo too but every reason we can be competitive at the top end again.

They wanted it more on the night. They play rancid hoofball, but showed great desire and organisation. For all of our possession we had no answers to their game plan.

They don't have more quality than us they have height and physicality which we severely lack and that's what's got them through the 2 games .

They are a good side and effective at what they do. Are you able to tell us how many of Sunderland starting side were missing?
 
The result says they were better
They missed two open goals and wasted loads of possession .
Likewise we were wobbly and its was a step too far for a side bodging their way to the end due to squad issues . We've had games like this this season .We've also had brilliant ones

They play football from the 80’s/90’s, they just bullied us (especially with our lack of height) and showed more desire. With Ballard and batth at the back they don’t score those goals. Well done Luton, let’s hope our incremental development continues. Roll on next season.
