Wrestling - Part 3

Looking at the final WWE drafts I couldn't help but notice how overbloated the roster is again, how do you fit all of that into 2 shows per week?

They're in Puerto Rico for Backlash on Saturday, there's absolutely zero chance Bad Bunny is losing but if Dom 619's Rey, he could be the actual next top heel in WWE :D

Aye assumed so after a while of having a look.

Finally took the plunge and got some since the section/price range I was initially wanting to go for must have been all take.

Supposedly 35k+ sold in the pre sale so far.
Great start, think there will get 65/70 but won't sell out , still be a success

Yeah. And a huge amount of them ended up straight on Viagogo etc. Fightful is reporting on the Ticket touts definitely won this one.

It's standard practice when a top organisation uses Ticketmaster, any WWE event when they use Ticketmaster is always the same, and any other high level concert or Wembley football game

A ticket sold is a ticket sold in the AEW's eyes, but the amount of them who's gonna actually turn up? A small % unfortunately.

I bet you’re excited at the thought, shame really. I also hope you’re wrong and not sure why but this thread seems to have went to us and them rather than “wrestling”.

I’d love to go and would happily pay and snap up a ticket but I’m a “partial” fan on my own 😂 Surely it’s better to go to a UK event which will have quality wrestling on show, rather than shitting on it?

Who's shitting on it? Just spitting facts instead licking arse.

The touts pretty wiped out most of all the top tier bowl leaving the middle/bottom/ringside where the average joe fan won't be able to afford. Good for the organisation, bad for the consumer who want to see the show. Now tell me where's the bias in that?

Grow up will ya.
The mental age of this thread sometimes is definitely questionable to the point I've had users in my DM's about it.

Calling it a showcase PR event doesn't help your cause mind. This effectively will be their biggest show ever.

Now read the posts when Wembley was first announced instead of the ones which only suit your agenda.

You're a grown man getting furious over the internet over a wrestling company, Christ man.

At this stage we might aswell start completely start seperate WWE and AEW threads cos ya not allowed to say anything bad about in AEW in here and totally ruins the thread.

Getting furious?   i've just said why someone might say your excited at the thought of scalpers getting tickets, and of course you can say something bad about AEW but people are allowed to respond and have a debate if they see it a different way, same goes for WWE.

WWE is shit with the odd occasional good moment thrown in. And it's just got alot worse with Nakamura and Gunther going to RAW, that's another fact, am I gonna get called bias for that too?

It will be their biggest showcase ever, of course, but TK has the money to do that, he could probably have a wedding after-party in Wembley Stadium if he wanted to. There is no reason for it other than PR, it's a risk and he might pull it off. The fact of the matter is, AEW isn't laying any foundation for growth other than PR stuff like this! Cool it's a big wrestling event in the UK go enjoy it. Enjoy it while it's here because it's still a ridiculous expense and an unwarranted one. He owns ROH, sort that out before doing Wembley. He runs AEW talent, sort them out before doing Wembley. Establish some wrestlers that are AEW and main eventers instead of farting about with the likes of Hobbs, Warlow, Starks and giving us shite. AEW exists because TK has money. By all means, take any enjoyment of it as you like but it's not the same as WWE.

The most sensible post in the 1867 pages of this thread. But you might get insulted for it because it doesn't suit their agenda.

It's not hard to see why the thread recently went nearly a month without any new posts in it.
