No point extending unless almost guaranteed to sell out every week. That would only be the case if we were pemanent fixture in Premier League. Otherwise, you have the additional cost of extending and maintaining the ground with no additional revenue. Ground could so with a spruce up before it is ever extended.

I'm not talking about on the balance sheet or FFP breakdown.

I'm talking about the actual expenditure. What is the point of spending 50-60m on an extension that will very very rarely be filled. Less than 6 times per year.

When the club is not investing in anything, why on earth are they going to throw that money towards something that they'll never get back before selling the club or be paying back with very little gains.

People are absolutely mental if they want us to have 20k empty seats week after week. It looks great when it's full, not when it's half empty.
I think if we’re a successful PL team then 49k isn’t big enough. That’s a big IF of course but you can see why it can’t just be dismissed.

The cart is being put before the horse a bit here.

We are making great progress on the pitch, let’s keep that going until we hopefully get to the point tickets are like gold dust for a while. If you’ve got built up demand THEN extend, you’re much more likely to sell the extras.

Being able to get a ticket whenever you fancy isn’t a good way to make people commit themselves to going every week.
I don’t think anyone is suggesting do it now. But if we did we and it was sustained there’s no reason it shouldn’t be done.

The quality of match day experience needs vastly improvising before ever looking at capacity.

Queuing up like cattle for a piss and the minging food and drinks at half time, the queues leaving the ground, put people off.If all that stuff is as good as you find at the most recently built stadia (I’m thinking West Ham’s as I’ve been a few times) your way more likely to attract more fans now. Then worry about capacity later.
west ham is one of the worst 'new' grounds i've been to. i know it wasn't purpose built for footy but it's terrible.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting anything different to this view. People jumping on its deluded. It’s not at all.
It can be dismissed right now though.

Until we are a top 10 regular and challenging for Europe and selling out the stadium as it is.
What like in today? Whey of course. Who’s suggesting we do it now like? Or even in the next 2 years?

In and out the stadium at full capacity was a nothing. Every seat I’ve had views been amazing. Food selection and ease of access was 10/10. Went for a piss without a queue

This is true but can we get back on track with this Watford fixture as the first and foremost priority 😊

This says we should be 'cracking on' with it.

Not surprising really considering the capacity was reduced by around 17k when it was converted after the Olympics.

Jesus some of you can't just offer an opinion and move on can you? We get it, some think we should exptend and others don't. I sincerely doubt it's gonna impact on or be influenced by the attendance this Satda.
