CC : Durham v Derbyshire

His record with the ball is terrible batting decent, if he wasn't local he'd be getting a lot more Criticism
It's not terrible. He's a young inexperienced spinner and, being realistic , patience is required if he's going to be allowed to develop. Hopefully experienced spinners such as Kuhnemann and Parkinson being around will help his development

It is but I'm not saying he won't improve you do realise trevaskis is only 2 years younger and has actually played 10 more FC games than kuhnemann

That's Australia, alse comparision. You don't hear of any English player going traight from club cricket to the test team, it happens in Australia because the setup is different.

You seen him play or just looked up his average on Cricinfo?

You were telling us Potts was shite based on his averages season before last.
Looking forward to this. Derbyshire are bottom of the table and were poor when I watched them a few weeks back with the exception of Chappell who is a quality seamer.
They don't have any quality players other than Du Plooy. We really should be beating teams like this but we were lucky not to lose to them last season.

No I wasn't calling Potts shit so you think someone who doesn't take many wickets is good fair enough

Looking forward to the game. Will be a bit late down tomorrow. Pools relegation party on Saturday, but other than that should be in attendance for the other 3 days. See how we go I guess.

Unsure if @brandon is on a sabbatical as its unlike him to be so late starting a new thread so may as well begin it.

No team news yet from either camp although the match will be played on Pitch 7 which means it's slowly edging towards the middle of the square.

It's top vs bottom albeit with Derbyshire having played a game less and hopefully Kuhnemann has recovered from the stiff back that saw him missing the final day of the Glamorgan when the lads came so close to pulling off an unlikely victory and who knows? - we may even have Potts and Carse in the starting XI.

As for the weather well if you're an optimist then head for the Met Office forecast and if you're a pessimist then check out the BBC for what looks like rain from Friday to Sunday.

Haway The Lads!
Forecast looking grim around lunchtime ☔💧🌂
