Loan watch

Connor Pye was on the bench and Tom Chiabi started in a 3-3 draw for Morpeth vs Rylands FC.
Dan Cameron started in goal for West Auckland in a 1-2 defeat at Pickering Town.
Michael Spellman started in a 1-0 defeat at Alfreton for Blyth Spartans.
Harrison Bond started in a 3-2 away win at Grimsby Borough for Shildon.
Are most of the non league fixtures completed now for the season?
Connor Pye named Young Player of the Season at Morpeth. Pye (was rested yesterday) and Chiabi will be playing for Morpeth in the Senior Cup Final at the landfill on Tuesday night…

Entertaining game at Morpeth yesterday. 0-3 down at half time, morpeth pulled it back to 2-3 in injury time and with pretty much last kick of the game, the GK - big Dan Lowson scored from a corner, 3-3! Scenes!

Class that. Saw the keeper score on twitter.... Brilliant end to the game too!!
Nathan Newall started in a 3-1 defeat for Darlington vs King's Lynn.

Ethan Kachosa scored his first goal for Guiseley in a 2-1 defeat vs Lancaster City. No idea if Owen Robinson played, their team news is pretty rubbish.

Jay Matete came on as a sub in a 3-1 win vs Cambridge United.

Ah brilliant that. I remember you said he got player or young player of the year... How would you rate him?
To be honest, I haven’t seen much of him, probs 3/4 games. From what I have seen he looks a good player, definitely able to play above the level he has been playing so it’s hard to judge if he’ll make it at Sunderland. He’s still quite young (19) but think another loan next season to League 1 will show if he’s ready to step up. He got young player of the year and the lads who have watched him more than me reckon he’s a cracking player.

Very encouraging. Sounds like a good idea for another season out.

Yeah, think that would be the best for him - we’ve got Cirkin, Alese, Gooch and also Huggins to come back so we’re well covered. Game time will benefit him more than sitting on the bench or playing U23s.
Oli Bainbridge will slot into 21s and a 2nd year scholar could cover. Definitely benefitting from senior game time.

Would back to morecambe on loan be an idea? Look like they are going down, so hopefully at a top end league 2 side and assume he is from over that way so the added bonus of being at “home”. Cracking effort to win ypoty in half a season mind.
