Young player of the year

Good player but there’s probably a young player in any of the top 8 that deserves it more.

Feels weird giving it to a player that hasn’t scored/assisted much in a team that’s had a mediocre season.

We have a left back that’s been injured half the year and has both our scored and out assisted a number 10 and he wins the award… beggars belief tbh

Amad who’s possibly the best player in the division but let’s give it to Alex Scott WHK has the grand total of 1 goal in 40 games.

The kid hasn’t even played for England under 21s yet.

He's right to be pissed off in fairness to the lad. These EFL award nominees this season we're designed to piss us off.

Boro will now win player of the year and manager of the year to rub salt in the wounds.

You've got to think mind, we're a newly promoted team, in the top 6 with 2 games to go (highest any newly promoted team has got in about 8 years) having fielded the youngest average squad in the division, scoring some of the goals we have this season, with individuals like Clarke getting 10 goals and 10 assists, Amad with 12 goals and 3 assists, losing our most experienced and best players to long terms injuries.

We should have received far more accolades and plaudits than some of the other teams and individuals have got this season.

We should have won young player, probably have got the top 10 goals alone. Like you say the team deserves far more credit from outside our own fan base.

baffling how robins was shortlisted ahead of mowbray

I like Robins to be fair. He's a very good manager. And to Mowbrays credit, what he's done with such a young team, ravaged by injuries all season long with no strikers for the vast majority of it is nothing short of outstanding. Aye he's made some glaring errors but don't they all?

Easy to say, but Alex Neil would not have this young injury hit team where they are now.. But that's just my opinion of course.

To be fair, fans of other clubs that I speak to think were superb going forward

I've read forums that back this up to be fair. It's just the EFL that don't.
5 of the top 6 teams make up team of the season bar one player. And the 1 team from the top 6 that doesn't have a player in there is of course Sunderland

Gan on Amad, lad. Get them telt

Regardless of who we think "deserves" the award (and I do think Amad should have won it), there's absolutely no reason for him to act the sore loser and throw disrespect at the winner. Lad needs to grow up a bit.

No he doesn’t. Needs to be a bit cocky for the rest of the season. Show those buffoons they made a mistake.
