CC :: Glamorgan v Durham

Not a bad score and should make 450 but a couple of very soft dismissals. 2 dodgy umpiring LBWs Jones was a shocker.

Looks a slow turgid pitch, but not one of their bowlers was hitting 80 miles an hour. Podmore in that second new ball spell quickest ball was 73.

So hopefully our lads carry more threat and maybe a bit of turn later but very lush square.

Great performance today, as others have said, to get inserted and score 382-6 was a brilliant effort. Few lads will want their wickets back, another two (possibly 3) got absolutely disgusting decisions. My only concern is that this pitch looks so placid, we may regret not having a batsman go on and score really big.

One thing I did see though, Labuschagne bowled a ball intentionally wide down the leg side in the days last over - Kuhnemann was being wided down at Hove for that two weeks ago. Why wasn’t Marnus?

Yes, very much agree about the pitch, I suspect Coughlin is quicker than anything they have and of course Carse will hopefully he touching 90mph. Their commentator mentioned the lack of bounce and bouncers bowled today, I expect Carse to try a few of those out on their batsmen over the next few days.

Inspection after Tea with Marty tweeting that the rain has stopped.

Been frustrating to lose two sessions after the day we had yesterday, but if we do get on tonight I think we should declare before the resumption.
