Forthcoming gigs.

Got Ian Brown and Kings of Leon booked for the late May bank holiday. No doubt SAFC will now get to Wembley

Quite happy miss them to see us in the play off final mind

Was a decent venue back then..seen the Damned..Vibrators..Killing Joke..The Alarm..amongst others there.
Wasn’t it really long but thin in front of the stage? 40 or 50 stage front and 200 or so looking in at the sides??
TVAM (not Russell Grant and the kiddy fiddler dock jumping weatherman) Star and Shadow Byker on Friday. I like their work.

Yeah the stage sort of went along the right hand wall as you went in..it was a bit dark and dingy inside but it made for a good atmosphere when the bands were on.

Aye I'm going to see Dead Kennedys on Friday 12 May, which is 4 days after Preston final game. If we make playoffs, slim chance that home leg of semis could be then and same, as you, would miss the gig for the match. However, think more likely that semis would be start of the next week

I just don't get acoustic for Gary Numan as his songs are all built up synths hardly any guitars ,Same with the Skids acoustic as well( big fan of the band ) but their songs are all riff laden distorted songs so i gave it a miss,
It's like having a Sham 69 unplugged ...just doesn't work.
Skids acoustic at the Peacock was one of my favourite gigs of last year. Tremendous. Better than the full set at Kubix, which was also good.

Looking forward to tonight (Gaz coombes) like but a bit gutted as Dhaka Braka are playing the fire station tonight and I would love to see them in that venue. Ukrainian folk band effectively but on another level.

Check out their KEXP sessions and anyone with nowt to do tonight get yourself to the fire station. Can't recommend enough.

How can you have nowt to do tonight when Sunderland’s at home?!

Not sure if you'd call it a gig, more of a lecture, but got tickets for this at Hope Street Exchange in Sunderland

The Science of Psychedelics with Neuroscientist Maria Balaet
Part of the Seed Talks collection
Join us for an in-depth examination of traditional & modern psychedelics, including their benefits for mental health. Followed by Q+A.

I'm a bit gutted I'm missing the match like. My ticket has gone to a good home tho.

Newcastle Tap for pre gig pizza and pints should help soften the blow. Haway the lads.
