The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

I'm pleased it has appeared on the BBC hopefully give the story a wider audience and more credence.

The club don't seem to car about the fans at the minute, maybe they will care if they get genuine pressure from multiple angles.
The article reflects quite badly on the club like. Definitely some criticism aimed towards them.

Agreed, although @soapster did make a good point about there being potentially two sides to the story.

It may be that they have a plan, but put the world's shitest reply out for the media.

Sensible adult dialogue here could diffuse the situation, unless they don't actually care.

I’m so glad that his mam is being vocal about it, only way the club will listen is if people are to hold them account.
This. Would love it to actually gain a bit more attention online and made the club look like bellends. Glad she’s not just accepted it

Possibly something going on in the background, but statements can be worded so that people know you are looking into it.

To me, they either have incompetent people in their Comms team or they're terrified of saying anything that resembles 'sorry' in case it makes them liable.

The Club’s PR is at an all time low. I’m amazed how KLD are ignoring or couldn’t give a fuck about it
Completely. A business with a global reputation and we can't even deal with our own housekeeping properly.

They apologised in a statement after the Coventry game buts its way worse now than then and they appear to be trying to avoid it altogether now.

It needs to be fair for all sides. I personally don't hate the pyro stuff but respect the fact there is people with medical conditions and children there and it's not acceptable. Especially if they are being thrown down with other items.

the club need to be stronger on this. I thought the statement yesterday was a bit shit. Basically saying we know someone got hit, shit happens.
The use of flares at games is banned and should be enforced, when the flares went off in our end at Wembley we couldn't see the celebrations on field as well as being choked by the smoke. Selfish and without any consideration for other fans. The police just stood there watching with fire brigade standing by, I would have instructed the fire brigade to start using their branches and soaked those in the offending sections.

Completely agree. I just don't personally mind them.

They announced it on the PA and put a message on the board !! Shows they care
Can't work out if you're being serious or not.

You'd mind if one hit you on the head from a height and your clothes were covered in dye.
It would sharp stop if all fans were ejected. And yes, I’d rather be deducted points than be contributing to a thread on here about a serious injury or worse.
Just on that, did they actually eject that Birmingham fan or just wait until they check the footage after the game? If nothing happened on the day it shows the stewarding, policing and cctv isn't working.

No one from the club has replied to emails sent after Saturday..... Neil, Davison or Waters.

Criticised on total sport last night and article on the website. Yet the club didn't even release the statement on social media.

Did you read the bit I said I was completely in agreement with? Or, did you just react to something you didn't like the sound of?

No I read your sentence where you wrote that they cared because they put a message on the scoreboard, and wondered if you were being serious or not?

Despite not minding them personally, I'm in complete agreement with this...

Birmingham fan here. Just a quick update lads (and lasses). It's been announced in a local rag that the offender from saturday has been identified and details passed on to WMP who will no doubt have his door off in the weeks to come, and he'll be banned for life from BCFC.
