HM Crawshaw, BS McKinney*, RG Whitfield, BFW de Leede, L Trevaskis, TSS Mackintosh†, MJ Killeen, GS Drissell, SJC McAlindon, OJ Gibson, BD Glover

Luc Benkenstein in for Essex

That’s a pretty handy looking team. Good to see de Leede, Killeen and McAlindon playing following their various injuries.

Durham 67/1 after 14 overs.

Being held up by the 7th wicket pair here.
They’ve added 97 so far :o

Edit - 7 down now

182-7 (4 behind).

Essex all out for 190
Hogg picked up 4/16, know very little about this lad

Durham 15/2 in reply with McKinney and Whitfield getting ducks

Looking at that XI we have got some very exciting young players but also highlights how important half a dozen proven senior players performances are to the way this summer goes.

Some decent scores here apart from McKinney and Whitfield (and we already know what they are capable of) - 341/6, leading by 337. Good show by the lads 😀

Aye, closed on 364-8, already looking like a pretty formidable lead - mind it may well be that the pitch has flattened out.
