Boro thread

I think they’ll be favourites in play offs
Millwall look their most likely opponents which will be horrible as an away leg but over two games they’ll beat them
Sunderland will be nightmare thought for them, their being lauded as the favourites us getting in there with nothing to lose Mowbray as our gaffer, one of theirs etc they’ll be fearing the worst
Coventry look the best shout for me to gatecrash and with striker like theirs they’ll be match for anyone

I can see why Boro wouldn't want us to be in the playoffs. Derbies (and it is one) are a bit of a leveller. Outside of the top two, Boro are the next best team. I reckon we are the team theyd fancy playing least.

Boro Coventry last game. If we are still in the race, I reckon Boro may well throw it.

They’re not though they’re the second best team outside the top two, the table doesn’t lie.

Luton are in fabulous form, best form in the league over the last 10 games, better than Burnley.

Boro are in worse form than us over the last 6

Be interesting to see what they do with their ground if that happens
Read a report that they'd have to spend 10m quid to bring ip up to PL standard
There have planning permisson in for a new stadium, I'm wondering if they'd play at Milton Keynes, its 20 miles away

Two weeks ago I’d relaxed, knowing we were not facing the hell of the play offs again was a bit of a relief to be honest.
Now there’s slight hope again I’m stressing.
IF we were to make 6th AND then face the Boro I’d need Valium.
The championship play of final is already the ultimate all or nothing game for a fan IMHO. Adding a derby (it is) into the mix is a heart attack waiting to happen at my age.

Doesn’t look like they want/can afford to pay for the upgrade so a move to MK is a possibility

Didnt realise they were thinking about building a new ground like

Bit of context needed though. We were beaten by the runaway leaders and got Warnocked.

The victory over Norwich has helped to restore confidence.

Let’s be honest, a Sunderland vs Boro play off final would be utterly horrific. The amount of problems it would cause would be ridiculous

What problems mate?
I honestly don’t think anyone’s beating Boro over two legs or at Wembley.

I hope I’m wrong, and we do - but I just can’t see it.

After seeing them home and away and the fact they just got spanked off Huddersfield, I think any of the teams that get in the playoffs have a chance of going up. Total pot luck and all depends on who shows up, injuries and refs getting things right.

We really don't want Sunderland in the play offs - they are actually a world class side incorrectly languishing in championship mid table. They have amazing young players that are the envy of clubs round the world. Ross Stewart is a mixture of Haaland and Mappe and with him fit they would dominated the league and probably won the FA Cup.

Oh and they don't care about Boro.

The most deluded set of fans in this country."

Someones rattled!!
That has to be Boro_Fan or a sock puppet.

One of the main ones would be travel mate. The trains, which struggle at the best of times, would be utter chaos

Would they not just put on more trains, or trains dedicated to Boro/Sunderland?

Of course you're always going to get the odd knacker, but it tends to be when fuelled by alcohol. I think most of it would be good natured.

A Sunderland/mag final is a different story mind as it goes beyond a daft laugh and is generally just hateful bile. I mean the majority have been brainwashed into not even coming to Sunderland, and it's worked, they don't. It's so sad and insular.
