Let’s be honest, a Sunderland vs Boro play off final would be utterly horrific. The amount of problems it would cause would be ridiculous

It’s the sort of game you live for. The tension building up to it would be magnificent and horrendous in equal measures.Let’s be honest, a Sunderland vs Boro play off final would be utterly horrific. The amount of problems it would cause would be ridiculous
Throw is maybe the wrong word. 'Not try' might be better. I can see them resting their regular players. There isn't likely going to be a lot riding on the game for Boro. And have the possibility of maybe having to play Coventry again in the semi ? The fans may want them to throw it but don't think the team would as form is important going into the playoffs
Boro are the best team and a lot of the rest is very average. If not us then I'd prefer Boro to go up and get them out of the way for next season. I'd be disappointed if we weren't finishing above Preston, Blackburn, Luton, Millwall etc next season. After missing out on automatics Boro fans will be nervous, despite being on form right now the options in the play offs aren’t great…shit housing, big physical teams (with ability as well) Luton, millwall and then possibly Coventry and they will want to avoid us for obvious reasons.
Best option for them would be Blackburn imo as I don’t think they are that good
"
We really don't want Sunderland in the play offs - they are actually a world class side incorrectly languishing in championship mid table. They have amazing young players that are the envy of clubs round the world. Ross Stewart is a mixture of Haaland and Mappe and with him fit they would dominated the league and probably won the FA Cup.
Oh and they don't care about Boro.
The most deluded set of fans in this country."
Someones rattled!!
Of Course Boro do, Sunderland played them off the park and Boro will be very wary of playing them,( the derby that isn’t a derby) form book can go out the window and it becomes a 50-50 game. You must be logged on to see external links
Seem to be triggered massively by anything Sheffield United do. Also they want Sunderland as far away as possible from the playoffs.
I don’t think he said anything wrong?
Except the deluded part everyone knows that’s the Saudis.
I honestly don’t think anyone’s beating Boro over two legs or at Wembley. We’ve got a lot still to do to make the playoffs mind, win on Tuesday at home to Huddersfield and a result away at West Brom and it’s very much on.
Not really worried about Boro I think over the two legs we’d beat them, even with our striker issues.
I’d be more worried about LutonI honestly don’t think anyone’s beating Boro over two legs or at Wembley.
I hope I’m wrong, and we do - but I just can’t see it.

An often seen problem with children born in Boro
A lot of our side have just been through the playoffs and won them, so can’t see the pressure being a problem for us. Would be more questions over the other teams in that respect imoI was hoping for a sensible response about how a game against them now would be different as we’ll be missing Stewart, and the younger players in our side may struggle with the occasion/pressure.
Nope, not that![]()
Been saying this long enough - we really should be expecting to finish 4-6th as frankly we are better than the teams occupying those positions, or at least should be better than them. I’m just not accepting that I’m being unrealistic saying that we should be outperforming teams like Luton, Coventry, Preston, Blackburn with what we have at our disposal.Boro are fuck all special like they were wank when we played them last. As were Luton, garbage when we played them anorl.
We are more than good enough to win the play offs, the league is terrible quality to be fair we havnt had a striker all season and look where we are.

I can think of anything worse mate
Even travelling to Wembley would be a nightmare
