So there’s no rail connections from there to Sunderland?

It’s half an hour on the metro from Newcastle to Sunderland, hardly a huge distance to travel.

You think the people travelling to London will only be staying next to Wembley or the Tottenham stadium?
I’m sure you’ll join us in the real world eventually

So let me get this straight.Mags are that obsessed with us, they are coming on here pretending to be sunderland fans, posting something stupid, screenshotting it, then running over to their shitty little twitter page to post it, saying 'look at what this thick smb has posted'.Fuck me, we really are their world.

 It's a whole new level of obsession that mind.

The world famous roker roar you mean. It will intimidate visiting fans, so the more sedate and sterile atmosphere at St James's is suited to tournaments.

Yep, that's why we were picked for the game against Turkey, and it worked.
Excellent arguement

‘Travelling Mackem’ to anywhere not Sunderland.

Wandering the metro stops north of pelaw with his spindle and mag scarf.

It’s mental logic like.

So people going to matches have to stay within the vicinity of the Stadium? And eat there too. Decent hotels in London are all over the shop but apparently travelling to a Stadium will discount the venue?

Which ground would you remove? Since you've decided Sunderland is better than one of the grounds selected and don't say Newcastle as it's really not as much as I don't like saying that.

Why is it really not?

Newcastle and Sunderland are 14 miles from one another.
Wembley to Central London is 13 miles from one another.

I’m not buying the location argument. Sunderland and Newcastle share the same infrastructure. Our stadium is better than theirs.

You'd literally have to travel to Newcastle to come to Sunderland though. On the world stage both grounds are as bad as each other nowadays really compared to pretty much every other one selected excluding Hampden Park.

Newcastle probably has the best location out the lot though. Get the train to Newcastle, book a hotel then you can walk to the ground. It's pretty much ideal.

Taking our rivalry out, if I was a tourist and going to see my team abroad I'd love that. I couldn't be chewed to have to jam on a Metro for the game. Wembley is fine for transport. Tottenham on the other hand is a nightmare. They're only there because ones the National Stadium and the other is the best stadium in the country though let's be honest. West Ham on paper is the best ground but it's crap.

Mind that said we're not out of yet as the Northern Ireland ground doesn't exist atm and doesn't have funding either atm as far as I'm aware.

Who are Sunderland playing in the tournament?
Nobody. But sunderland fans, with the world famous roker roar, would probably make up a large section of the crowd. It might be a bit intimidating for fans of other countries. The more sanitised atmosphere at St James's would suit the tournament more.

Sunderland is pretty much in the city centre, especially when the bridge connects town(vaux)to stadium

Boro had Slovakia in 03, Romania+Austria 21 (albeit with the reduced crowds)
