The 19k gate was a joke, 1.30 kick-off on a week day. Literally had to get kept off school to go and my Dad go a day without sleeping to.
Said when England went for the world cup in 2006 that Saudi Arabia v Tunisia would be half-empty based on Euro96 - whilst in Germany/Munich it was full.
Only game that were full and didn't involve England, Scotland and Holland (large followings) was Italy Germany. £45 tickets in 1996 didn't help.
Was 21,000 at Liverpool for a night game.
Was a really badly organised tournament (and a bad watch) beneath the 'its coming home' stuff

Shame theve gone with White Hart Lane rather than the Emirates. Tottenham is a pain to get to and away from no matter how good the ground is.

It's a shame but hardly surprising.

Hopefully the works that are desperately required on the stadium aren't put off as a result of this.

Not sure if anyone follows a bloke who's page is called "The Padded Seat" on Youtube etc.

Basically he goes around different stadiums in hospitality and rates his experiences, every one I watch looks 10x better than what I've experienced at our place

Be madness to leave the best ground in the country out of the bid like

I know it’s mad to see the SoL been left out mind

Spurs over Arsenal because its better
Man City over Man United because Old Trafford needs renovated for all its a lot more interesting to look at
Hampden over Ibrox/Parkhead to avoid p1ssing half the other half

East stand is dilapidated and the concourse is awful.

Gallowgate concourse is decent.

Main stand, lower is poor, very tight and awful facilities. Platinum club needs updating, boxes are good.

Level 7, concourse good, view god awful.

Leazes Stand - Shite concourse, especially lower tier.

Weighing it up, the Stadium of Light, as a stadium if far superior, it's not even close at the moment.
You sure?
