Not surprised in the slightest. Lack of hotels and poor transport links were always going to be a problem and they were never going to select both Sunderland and Newcastle as Northumbria's Finest wouldn't want to cope with two games in a short period of time

Personally I'm hoping to go to Sofi or ATT Stadiums. They look fantastic

Realistically it's best chance to get to a WC in next few years especially if Saudis get 2030 bid

They've still got five years so should still be OK I would have thought? I was reading that part of the ground will just be temporary stands which uefa don't like.

I read at the weekend we'd likely be a reserve. Not sure if that has been confirmed.
