Well started to read that and felt the overwhelming urge to go and start beating myself up, does this bloke walk around with a raincloud permanently over his head, what a depressing get, does he get paid for this shite. We all knew it was going to be tough but i cannot hear the fat lady singing yet so bog off you baffoon. It ain't over till its over, and when it is over is the only time i will concede to defeat, HAWAY THE LADS.

If you listen to the podcast, he does seemingly have the traits of a pessimist.

Defeat at Burnley, and it will be.

A win however...
This for me.

A draw probably keeps slight hopes alive.

After Burnley away, our fixtures become more favourable on paper:

Hull H
Cardiff A
Birmingham H
Huddersfield H
West Brom A
Watford H
Preston A

The next 4 after Burnley especially we should be targeting a big points haul to keep the play off chase alive.

What an absolute spenk. If the season is over, it's over for every team in every league who regularly finish in a mid table spot. I mean, what's the point, eh? Might as well just have a league of ten teams, like they do up the road, or even less. Say five: two up, two down and one fighting both relegation and promotion.

I didn't read it, BTW. I just got the gist from the title and the RTG blurb.

Never rule out a Sunderland team in the last 8 games. Look at last season and some of the great escapes from relegation from the Premier League. If mathematically possible we somehow find incredible form this part of the season.

Even with a loss on Friday when it’s still mathematically possible don’t rule us out. I feel we will have a chance to get back into the top 6 over the next 6 weeks. If we do in time for the end of the season the other teams need to worry about us as we will be in incredible form.

The games come thick and fast after Friday, we have 4 games between the 7th-18th April. The table can change massively over a period like that if we take 9+ points.

Why write the season off now? Even if his scenario is the most likely one, it's just such a miserable post.
Incredible to write us off. Some on here have short memories. Look at some of our end of season runs over the last 10-15 years. We have a history of this. HAWAY

We aren't getting in the play offs. It's not happening, not being negative but I just don't think it's possible with this group of players. Does that make the season over? No? Does that mean it's make or break for speakman in summer? Does it hell.
