Maybe the thought is that to extend the concourses and do the necessary renovations (eg paint the roof) would be less of a one off cost if incorporated into the ground extensions as one big project?

Out of interest, if you were doing a Gold Silver Bronze analysis on it, what would hit Gold and Silver? Anything bronze would be under the continuous improvement banner, something which is largely non-existent currently.

Obviously anything under Bronze means it is effectively shite and needs sorting ASAP.

They’re looking into other avenues such as Rugby games, so if they can get big capacity stuff then why not.

Concourses are far too narrow and the roof still leaks but in the main it's not too bad.

If you were to extend the east and south in the same way as west and north, would you be able to build it out fully like the west stand, and therefore make the concourses bigger in those two stands? This obviously hasn't been done in the north stand to leave the path underneath, and in the west it contains all the corporate rooms, facilities etc. But there would be no reason to leave a gap under the south or east would there?
