Club are looking to extend the stadium

As daft as the idea of extending is I've heard they've been speaking to companies specialising in stadium building looking into having work done to the ground.

Not seats surely? Even in the Prem we didn't sell out most weeks, ridiculous idea unless they plan on pumping hundreds of millions into us to get us into Europe and pull the fans in.

I'd certainly extend other areas out but the seating doesn't need doing unless we have success.
We got 45k against stoke. Any success would mean sell outs. It just would. We’ve had 2 successful seasons since the sol opened. That’s two 7th place finishes, hardly successful but in the grand scheme of what we’ve witnessed. The capacity is too small for a successful Sunderland. It’s just about right for us being a championship club.

Rather the money went on improving the team tbh. Do that and improve, will naturally generate money and look to extend when we're back in premier league and actually looking at kicking on.

If anybody has a look at Aston Villas plans to extend Villa park its more a commercial desicion for so much more than football to extend

Its a yes from me for the full extension.
That recent posted mirrored stadium image looked great (despite the resulting dodgy north stand seat writing).
For me playing with only the lower bowl full wouldn’t bother me, sitting in the east stand I’m used to an empty Premier Concourse. Simply having the seats black would help.
However can’t see it happening, definitely not in my lifetime.
