Pleased for him to be offered a pro, next challenge is ripping up the 21s and improving his final delivery. Fingers crossed as he's strong, direct and raw. Hopefully the other wingers who have been out long term have a bit of luck on their side.

Any opinions on Waters? Seems to be in the goals and scored a cracker against Liverpool.

I like him. Big #9 holds up well and yes a great finish on Saturday. Transfermarket says 7 in 17, only a first year so stepping up to 21s will be the big test. Tall and some gym work will help him.

Trey is an u16s. Strong powerful lad, usually plays up front. Great potential.

Ripped Boro apart when he came on. He'll do well at 18s. Only introduced in the last few weeks. I'm sure I heard he has had a call up with Belgium or someone. One to look out for.

He wasn't on long but he certainly impressed me. Big lad for his age isn't he

Very. He's gonna be a beast, another who will be catching eyes of other clubs and relatively under the radar. Been with the club since u10s I believe.

The current situation that allows rivals to lift promising young players from clubs who have spent years developing them has to be looked at IMO.

Also the club need to protect their investments and offer more than a standard scholarship if they are that highly thought of.

AFAIK we can't offer them a contract below a certain age. I guess there will be some form of backdoor payments?

No what I meant was to offer them a pro at 17. Pretty sure only Zac Johnson is the only signed pro in the 18s. These lads are doing fantastic against some teams and lads on great money and security.

Scholar can be offered and earliest point is 17th birthday for a pro. Point I'm trying to make is we can protect our assets from other clubs to a certain degree.

He did yes at 17. Lost a lot of lads in that age group. From 18s down yes I'd expect Watson to be the first too.

I’m hoping Speakman and Nichols are a bit more switched on and savvy in this regard compared to previous regimes.
