Kicked off SAFC land for protesting against digital

it's not a matter of just another app though is it?
first you need to download that app then work out how to transfer the ticket to the app then work out how to get the ticket displayed in the wallet so it'll scan at the turnstile providing your 'phone supports nfc whatever that's supposed to be.
aye, loads easier than flashing a small bit of plastic.
the rest of your post is just drivel and condescending.

Its massively simple...46 seconds here and this is more complicated than an app would be:

So the comments from the fans club reps turned out to be a crock of shite & the club are shitting on us. That's 3 from our group not renewing.

Whilst I have a smart phone, I don't have any storage capacity for anymore apps.
What comments turned out to be a crock of shite? From the minutes of the supporters collective meeting:

"SD confirmed a physical season ticket will still be available if fans are unable to access a digital season ticket. The arrangements for this will be announced nearer the time."

So the over the top meltdown was for nothing?

To be fair I can understand it given the poor communication from the club. I knew it would be an option from both the meeting and the draft minutes, hence @DonaldDownTheWing and myself clarifying it to try and help people on here, but it's a bit shit that we had to do it tbh, the club should have been much more effective in their communication

I dunno why they didn’t just say it. It’s a massive own goal.

Doesn't say that in the new press release. It says they'll try & find a solution but they're not telling you what it is. Again it's all cloak & dagger, and is pissing people off.

Anyway, I'm just going to say mine doesn't support NFC (and none of the lower end current phones do support it)
So they can either give me a card or £150 discount on ST which is the cost of a compatible phone

To be fair, the release says

"The Club is also conscious that some digital season ticket holders may not have access to a smart device (smartphone or smartwatch) and we will work with you to provide a solution on a case-by-case basis to ensure no supporter is excluded from the 2023-24 renewal or purchase process."

Which is fairly clear in that no one will be excluded. Agree that they could be a bit clearer in the process (presumably they hope most will just go digital first), but both that paragraph and the bit from the minutes clearly shows that the fans groups reps weren't talking shite when saying there would be an option for those who couldn't use digital tickets

Which is pretty vague. It also mentions about those who don't have one to lose their independence & be signed in by a friend (or maybe a carer:rolleyes:) who does have one. Which means they're going to spend ages arguing the toss to try & avoid giving people a physical card. Which isn't quite the same as saying there'll be a physical option for those who need them. So it's aye, it was a load of shite to say dinit worry about it.....

Read the minutes. SD is quoted saying physical cards will be available.

Can't agree at all. We said there would be an option for people who can't use a digital ticket. The club have now said, both in the minutes and in the latest media release, that there will be an option for people who can't use a digital ticket.

I agree it's vague and they need to get more information out, I agree that people shouldn't have to rely on a carer getting them in the ground. But if anyone goes to the club and says "I can't use a digital ticket and I don't want to hang to rely on anyone else getting me in" then the club have confirmed that they'll have a solution for it. They've committed to no fan being excluded. Which is exactly what I, and others, said.

that video means nothing to anyone who doesn't have an i phone. can you find a video tutorial to help those without this nfc thing or with android or whatever it is to be able to get into the ground?
the point i'm making is that you and others appear to be happy to exclude folk from watching us play because they either cannot use technology or can't afford it.

****ing charging points being installed outside the ground.

At what cost?

I am honestly staggered as to how the club think they'll benefit financially from digital SCs. Madness.

"The Club will dispatch these emails from July and all emails will be sent to the payment owner."

You just know loads won't get the emails in time or they'll be buggy or not work.

Loads won’t receive the email, but will be told to stop bedwetting by people on here and there’s loads of time until the season starts. They’ll try contacting the ticket office in the week leading up to the 1st, won’t be able to get through to anyone, and will miss the game.

It’s like we’ve been here before

Asking people to pay best part of £500 and Then don’t know if they’ve can use it.

I appreciate I care about this issue and perhaps have gone a little over the top as I never thought I would have to give my season ticket up.

What I really worry about is people will just vote with their feet and not renew.

Where I live and blood money we can not be placing a barrier to anyone for attending games.

Some of our supporters need to show some empathy and understanding to some of their fellow supporters.

This is a massive balls up by the club. Nobody is taking any pleasure in criticising the club but they need to backtrack and be caring and inclusive to many in our fan base.

Yes I can and it’s pretty much just as simple/quick, but every time I’ve answered you’ve dismissed it as waffle or disrespectful. The truth is you don’t want to hear it and you’re being deliberately obtuse.
If you would rather miss the match than go to a tiny amount of effort then fair enough.
