I have no problem signing these players in isolation. They are all good players who’ll no doubt have a decent run with us in the future. Problem is that none of these really are going to have an impact today. They certainly aren’t going to come on and win us football matches yet. We really needed to mix 2-3 of these in with 2-3 25 year olds who can make an instant impact, and drip feed the 18 year olds into the action slowly but surely.

I think Mowbrays comments show he doesn’t have a clue what to do with them either - was saying Bennette was the best player ever pre World Cup yet barely even brings him on, 6 games ago Ekwah was “just about ready to start” yet he can’t even get off the bench anymore.
 
Other than Gelhardt and Michut they barely get any game time and barely feature in the u21’s to get some sharpness. Lihadji did the other week I think.

Not sure what they have been signed for at this stage other than to make up numbers on the bench. Presumably Lihadji isn’t fit and may be more for next year but others can hardly get a kick.

I think basically he has been giving a load of players who he doesn’t want or think is good enough but has to say positive things in media

It’s a myth that our recruitment has somehow been sensational.

Yes, we’ve had some successes (not listed above - we know who they are). However there’s 13 names above - for a start - who have either been failures, or in respect of whom the jury is at best still out. And that’s only within the last season and a half.

The “hit” rate of our recruitment in the last two years hasn’t been discernibly better than most “models” at most other clubs. The main advantage other clubs have, is that they at least apply their average hit rate to targets in the positions they actually need.

He does it every week talks about how good jewi is yet barely see him
 
Have to start playing them. We aren’t getting relegated and aren’t making the playoffs. Doesn’t matter too much where we finish in between so start blooding these players in advance of next season. Stop starting the likes of Joffy, Diallo and Pritchard as none of those will be here next season

I have absolutely no idea what the plan is tbh. If they aren’t getting game time here they need to be out on loan playing and learning elsewhere at this stage of their career.
