Winniesta is a funny one. He was the hero of the front end of last season, had a cracking shot on him, and we have so easily forgotten him. Bit of a shame. I can't even remember where he has gone.

Shrewsbury. They are having a fantastic season in 8th place, just 3 points off the play offs. Winchester has played 27 times for them this season so is clearly an important first team player.
Zero goals, zero assists.
Mumba was sub too. I think they must have been resting a couple.
Matete came on after 50 minutes and was booked.
Winchester played 77 minutes for Shrewsbury in a 3-2 win. He got a yellow card and there were no more goals after his withdrawal.
On EFL highlights show last night, they commented that the Plymouth line up was strong "despite resting key players like Matete and..." so I guess it was rotation.

He's been fantastic for Plymouth so we'd be silly not to consider giving him a chance next season if we don't get decent offer for him, still young too.

We're playing 50 games a season, he's gonna get his chance. Especially when you consider Evans won't even be fit to start next season.

He might be he wouldn't come back to be behind Neil ekwah Evans ba or michut
Ekwah has never started a first team game in his life, Evans ACL is knackered and is approaching 33, Ba seems to be used wide or off the front more often than in the middle and Michut is currently only on loan. Literally only Neil doesn't have a question mark over him, except maybe that a PL team might hoy a big money bid in. I'm canny certain Matete will get his chance in pre season to stake a claim.

If we are in the Championship he will come back and play a big part in the squad IMO, as you say, Evans might be struggling to keep the same consistency after coming back

Reading this thread, I’ve never known such emphasis placed on ‘assists’. Anyone know if they were assists as in the olden day ”set up the goal” or were they merely the last person to pass to the player who eventually scored?!
Yes never mentioned in the olden days.Used these days to forwards that dont score much themselves.
