Striker situation

That's his opinion though mate, mine is I think Speakman has done a great job in the players he has brought in, always said that. I don't think we would be where we are without them, brought the right ones in. Jury is still out on Joffy for me though, hoping he can come good but the striker situation was always a tough one.

You could argue we needed another striker in regardless if we lost Stewart or Simms. We then lost them both and only brought in one despite having all window to replace Simms.

I don't know if I agree though, I think we've been dealt a proper shit hand. Just been unlucky. Imagine if they hadn't recalled Simms and Stewart didn't get injured. It wasn't a priority. They were our two strikers we'd identified.

Can't blame Speakman imo. We have been unlucky.

I agree with that, I only wish we could have kept Simms, I'd have took Simms back over Joffy any day but it wasn't to be. Still playing well this season regardless and still a lot of games to win.

9 today and in most of the games he has been used

so at most 120 mins if that in total in over a month?

waste of his time and you can see he is not happy

Even now, there are the "we know" comments etc, how can you discuss the game properly if the striker situation is off limits

This. I got the same stick last week for saying Amad was off the pace and hasn't looked the same since we lost simms and Stewart.

Anything related to the forward line is off limits seemingly.

We get out well.
We play intricate passing and bring the ball forward rather than lumping it hoping that Stewart can control it

Maybe we need a list of what positions we can discuss sensibly and be allowed opinions without people jumping on?

Amad only started to play well when we lost Simms and Stewart and we put Roberts in the team
 
We’ve seen in our last few games it isn’t that simple. QPR and Reading are the worst teams we’ve played this season and went for the any striker will do option.

If the right option wasn’t available and we miss out, so be it. We’ve had a cracking season regardless .

I suppose regurgitation of the same point over and over again when we can't do anything about it should be off the list.

It's been made. After every game we don't win. Which is pretty rare tbh

The annoying thing is, most the knackers raging about us missing out on the playoffs had us relegated in the summer. It’s always the same boring fuckers, never happy.
