East Durham is a red and white hot spot, not many unwashed round these parts
Oh yes, and those rare ones wearing their barcode in Seaham still get a funny look.

With the Saudi takeover they're on a completely different level now........Club of a similar size and fan base in the same hotbed of football.
That’ll happen when you’re wandering around with gravy all down your top, scruffs mate.Oh yes, and those rare ones wearing their barcode in Seaham still get a funny look.
You could clearly see that was a tongue in cheek comment. Like I said. Technically I am a mackem. I was born in Sunderland. Brought up in Boldon Colliery. But I don't say hewla hewp, compewter or redchester (for register) other than that. I bleed red and white. Chill.Aye all Mackems are miserable folk. Does that make you feel better. Seem to have a chip on your shoulder. Next the you go over take a placard over saying I AM NOT A MACKEM.
I do normally just present my phone, but I've had them fail before and missed kick off as a result, so belt and bracesEast Durham is a red and white hot spot, not many unwashed round these parts
Can you or your daughter not download the tickets to a mobile device? Easier than messing about printing and a damn sight cheaper![]()
Understandable then marraI do normally just present my phone, but I've had them fail before and missed kick off as a result, so belt and braces
Wrang’ns mate. Know a good few over Houghton and all MLFs.I was in the wild boar sat in houghton and there was a few.
I had to sit down and reflect .
Don’t think anyone has disputed this it’s why the grounds are so high and it’s great. Interesting on Wms podcasts they have been saying that’s why maybe midweek crowds dip so low which is another spin on the debate. So less ppl travel in midweek from out of city. We are all one big family and I’ve never seen issues but clearly most ppl are from Sunderland.Ah so that's why they don't sing awa there. All miserable mackem folkpeople saying this and that. I remember a few seasons ago in South Stand when it first opened to home fans. The three lads behind me were from Durham, the two to the right were from gateshead, the two lads in front were from Northumberland. Either way. There's plenty from outside of sunderland who go to the games.
I couldn’t believe it man .Understandable then marra
Wrang’ns mate. Know a good few over Houghton and all MLFs.
Was on BT at like midday. Micky takeActually 5th round. Was sat in Concourse. Ridiculously sparse in ground.
I've been going to sunderland games for 20+ years. And can count on one hand how many issues I've had (having a geordie'ish accent etc. And you are right. One big family. Any red and whiter is a friend of mine.Don’t think anyone has disputed this it’s why the grounds are so high and it’s great. Mate you want to come to Shiney or Penshaw, it’s fkn heartbreaking the amount of black and whites.I was in the wild boar sat in houghton and there was a few.
I had to sit down and reflect .
I contacted them early on this morning by email about and they responded within 2 hours re-sending and sure enough it was in my Junk.Marra, I've looked everywhere
I know they aways had more fans mate. It's the money now I'm referring to.They’ve always had more fans mate. Simple geography. North of Tyne is theirs, despite a few pockets of our fans in South East Northumberland in particular. That’s not saying we don’t have fans elsewhere north of the Tyne, as we do, all over in fact, just not in any numbers.
South of Tyne they have Gateshead by about 75/25 (and I might be being generous to us there), and I’d say South Tyneside was split. NW Durham probably 65/35 them, and Durham City and SW Durham I’d say 60/40 us.
The only areas we are dominant are Sunderland itself and East Durham.
Therefore, the fact we haven’t been a kick in the arse off them for many years, despite having faced a lot more shit on the pitch, is testament to our supporters.
As a percentage of matchgoing fans to total support I think we’d win that contest easily, for what it’s worth.
You season ticket holders?Marra, I've looked everywhere
I just rang them this morning at 9am for my dad to make sure his season cards had been activated..answered atraight away and confirmed they were activated.I contacted them early on this morning by email about and they responded within 2 hours re-sending and sure enough it was in my Junk.

There was a poster on here who told me to fck off and support Newcastle because I was from Northumberland.
shameful
It’s correct though.Another Mag on a fishing trip
"...It's left us vulnerable to comments about empty seats even though averaging over 40K during our largely dispiriting 10 seasons in the PL was a miracle..."
Has Skunk written all over it
Disagree> They have more that jump on any available bandwagon, witnessed it in Consett when Keegan turned up the first time, take a look at the bad times and the crowds at both clubs, I was at Roker plenty of times with 11k though my black and white neighbour wasn't at Sid James when they were pulling in 7k. Nothing to do with catchment areas etc, all about loyality and SAFC win that competition hands down..just saying. PS I now live in Gosforth and we have a very healthy following here.I know they aways had more fans mate. It's the money now I'm referring to.
