Aye, but I get 55 mpg versus 37mpg in the petrol model of my car.
I’ve never got how using more fuel (petrol) for journeys is better for the environment but never mind.

Yes it's a massively common thingI do loads of short runs and, touch wood, I've never noticed any dpf problems. Is it still a thing?
My tax is really cheap, circa £0 per ever.
Fumes less harmful maybe?I’ve never got how using more fuel (petrol) for journeys is better for the environment but never mind.
Yeah, I heard about it and I thought I would be knackered as I mainly drive on slow roads. I haven't noticed an issue yet.Yes it's a massively common thing
Need to make sure you don't live near anywhere that has or is about to bring a LEZ in. Doubt a 10 year old diesel will comply. My old car is about to die, looking to replace it. Plenty of diesel models around all claiming high mpg. Looking at vehicles around 10 years old. Trustworthy figures, or was it just VW that were the liars?
Fumes less harmful maybe?
Older diesels maybe. Isn’t the problem the harmful particulates compared to petrol? I’m talking about harm to health mind not the environmentYou reckon?

Bought a new BMW 520 LUX D .Claimed 61 mpg, never got more than 42 EVER . Talked to other owners, same results. Tax VED was great £30 a year !
Diesel is for tractors, trains, buses and trucks.
Get a proper car, with a proper petrol engine man.
