Attendance Thread - Fulham

Personally, I’d just better reward SC holders that go to cup games. The mags are actually using attendance at cup games (Alongside being a SC holder) as a way to determine who gets final tickets
Fair enough. Just don't think that will have much impact with us. Suddenly mags look like they could challenge in cups each year

Yep Im such a magpie that this week Im down London tomorrow for Millwall and at the SOL next week for the replay v Fulham

I'd love to see you actually back up your bizarre claims I follow NUFC. As I say so often Im more than happy to show my SAFC supporting credentials.
Go on then. Do it

I think sub 20k will be v poor, 20 -25k poor also. However, if the tracker is right, we're just about past that already (with corporate etc to add on)

Approaching 30k and upwards won't be too bad, given it's on TV/midweek etc and our history of cup attendances.

At present it probably doesn’t mate, but personally I’d use home cup attendance (along with being a SC holder) across a 2-3 year period to decide priority sales for all finals.

For example, let’s say we’ve have 6 home cup games over a three year period. I’d give those SC who attended all 6 games the first window to purchase Wembley tickets. With further windows reducing by one cup game at a time.

Even if every SC holder was guaranteed a ticket, it will hopefully mean that those that went to the cup games get the better seats.

You won’t tho.

I have probably been to every cup game at the SOL and a lot at Roker
lhere has been some absolute dross these last 10yrs or so.
2010 (R3) – Sunderland 3-0 Barrow
2011 (R3) – Sunderland 1-2 Notts County
2012 (R4) – Middlesbrough 1-2 Sunderland
2012 (R3) – Peterborough 0-2 Sunderland
2013 (R3) – Sunderland 0-2 Bolton (Replay)
2014 (R4) – Sunderland 1-0 Kidderminster
2014 (R3) – Sunderland 3-1 Carlisle
2015 (R4) – Fulham 1-3 Sunderland (Replay)
2015 (R3) - Sunderland 1-0 Leeds
2020 (R1) - Sunderland 0-1 Mansfield
2021 (R1) - Sunderland 0-1 Mansfield

The cup has been devalued, its on TV, its winter, its mid week, lots of Season ticket holders live miles away, LND injury and the transfer window downer, Fulham will bring a few hundred, cost of living stuff. Not quite sure how folk are surprised this game will be lowly attended... by our standards anyway. A shame but it is what it is. Forget about the attendance and concentrate on the game.

I always cringe when the “your support is 🤬ing shit” chant pops up at away games, but if I’ll mega time tomorrow having seen these numbers

A fair few will be on shift work and cant get off.
A fair few live quite a distance from the SOL and cant do the midweek journey.
A fair few wont be able to afford it, money, even at these prices, is tight.
A fair few will go to the pub and watch it.
A fair few will watch it at home.
People have situations forced on them, and some just make their choice.
No right or wrong.
Agree with all of that. Added to many that will still come but may not bring younger kids (especially when living a distance away).

I think the point being asked is that's no different from any other club facing the same challenges.

Unfortunately, we don't have the 'back up' numbers which suggests we have an unbelievable core and loyal support, but numbers wise perhaps not as wide as some other clubs that otherwise get similar attendances to us.

Love to know how many of our "supporters" an estimated 50,000 who decided to travel 300 miles to wembley at a cost of many many pounds with ticket and travel costs for the play off final have decided to buy a ticket for this game for a fraction of the cost
