When we were basically relegated and they were pushing for promotion he said it'd be better if derby won.

A simple look on his twitter feed tells you everything. 95% is about us. Saw him after play off final in May. He was absolutely buzzing.

Well he must be thick or something then as when we were fighting for survival he said he hoped Derby would win.

His twitter is about us because he's paid to comment on us. He's gone on like a disloyal tit and completely out of touch with the fans for far too long now.

But in hindsight, he was here 4 years of an almost 20 year career. He isn't North East born, he's a midlander. He played almost as many games for Northampton as he played for us.
He played more games for Derby and has more of an affinity with Derby County than he does with us.

We were just one step in his career.

We probably shouldn't listen too closely to what he says, or care.

He's not, he's from York which is why he went back there when he retired. He may have been born in Nottingham but he was brought up and went through school in York before beginning his career at York City.

He's paid to talk about us, so it's not surprising he tweets about Sunderland and engages with fans is it? It will be encouraged as part of his job to improve listening figures.

It's not about being precious, it's about digesting what he's saying and realising he's going on like an utter dick.
