Marco. That's me finish like....

I mean he does come out with some dross. But really he's not wrong about this. Stewart is a 10-15 goal per season premier league striker at the worst I'd say, potentially higher. We are current performing like a solid mid table championship team, not good enough for playoffs. Stewart would walk into any other championship XI and a good few prem ones as well.

Funnily enough he will of thought he was too good for us bk in 91 and it turned out that he wasn’t and his career nose dived only scoring anywhere near what he’d done for us in the 4th division
Same May happen with Stewart , what was his record prior to safc ?
Sometimes a player clicks at one club then it doesn’t happen elsewhere , look at Phillips

Mind you Marco is poor on that talk sport , Kieron Brady is far better and surprised they haven’t changed things

It does seem that Gabbiadini is a bit of an anti Sunderland helmet does it not. As for what he is saying regards Stewart should as has been mentioned been worded differently to something along the lines of could Stewart cut it in the premier league. Maybe he could maybe he couldn’t is the answer as he’s untried there. There has been numerous players and a lot of them strikers who were immense in the championship yet when they had a good in the premier league they didn’t do much. My personal view on Stewart is I believe he is better that a few strikers up there and for his career and his age it makes sense for him to have a go if that chance comes and I would not begrudge him in the least,,,gutted but not bitter. Marco on the other hand is just spouting crap to appease his mag bosses. What a tit.

Is Gabbiadinisy a bigger leg end than Phillipsy?

Phillipsy was clearly a much better player and did amazing thigs at the highest level BUT for those of a certain age there was no more exciting player that Gabbiadinsy and THAT goal has yet to be bettered as a single moment in my Sunderland supporting lifetime.

However he doesn't suck us off on the radio.

Good post

Hot takes from radio Newcastle?

They can't lose with anything like this, like. Sure to draw comments (and message board posts) from both groups of fans 😅

I agree to a point

However Marco is not a shock jock he is employed to give a Sunderland perspective on a local radio show. Could you imagine John Anderson belittling the club.

The many employees at the local bbc with mag allegiances will lap this up.

They need to change the daft name of their radio station and those employed should be told you reflect the North East and are not employed as the PR arm of Newcastle United. And when your on reflect what the mag ownership did to one of their profession before blowing any more sunshine up their arses.

Sadly Marci needs to go. Callers need to take him to task when they call if he stays.

I just think people are way too sensitive, ridiculously so. If you want sycophants trotting out platitudes to make you feel better that's not my idea of a show. If Marco feels Stewart has outgrown us he should be allowed to say so whether you agree or not.

Would it be too much for the primarily Derby supporting Gabbiadini to say something along the lines of:
“Sunderland are a great club to play for and are progressing well, they could well be the best option for Ross’s immediate future, it’s a club with fanatical support and great facilities. Clearly he’ll need to be paid what he’s worth-the owners must now decide how much they value him in their efforts to continue to move the club forward.”

Would that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside? What if he genuinely believes Stewart should move for his personal development? Its a reasonable point of view to have. Should he lie to make you feel better?
