Trouble again

Most are from Kent nowadays, bermondsey is a different place these days

Historically Millwall was in East London (North Of the River) but the ground was in Kent (South of the River) before the GLC etc?
Whereas the Arse took the opposite route.

Yeah it was historically but they've been in bermondsey for well over 100 years I believe. Same as arsenal who moved in 1913

The place called Millwall is at the bottom of the Isle of Dogs but they moved south of the river just after forming.

Nothing excuses it but I wonder if this is a delayed reaction to what happened when visiting teams used to come here in League One. I seen it a few times where away supporters would come here and basically take the piss without consequence. There was always going to be a reaction to that.

Bell ends spoiling it for everyone else and giving the club and fans a bad name.

Boro were always well regarded, so it’s a bit strange they are being talked down really.

Up until the early 2000’s though, very few firms could command the numbers we had. I’m pretty sure the police estimated we had c300 in Edinburgh when we played up there under McCarthy.

A little bit mate. Seven Sisters is a strange place like, but not quite at the same level

Tbf, our kids are acting up now because away fans at the SOL have gone on like tits for years. Had the likes of Coventry behaved themselves, you wouldn’t be seeing the issues we have now.
I think what stopped sunderland being more highly regarded was the organisation. You had seaburn and the townies squabbling for years, and sunderland finally got serious when these two sets of lads got together. Unstoppable on our day, but it wasn't very often that everything came together. The likes of boro were highly organised, dunno how people can be arsed to be honest.
About 40 turned up at jamesons 2016 a few years ago, more than the mags have done in 30 years
About 200 mags turned up in the town without any coppers there. Defoe beauty goal game. Only about 10 sunderland fronted them outside the city tavern .mackem 1989 was there, he'll confirm this

Who were the townies, vauxies etc? I didn’t realise Sunderland had so many groups.

I know, in an escort like, never tried a pub, wed just left, came back down, was on a blue matt at about 3pm with a broken hand

Most aren't from seaburn...

There was two coppers with them. It wasn't an escort, but most sunderland had left ten minutes earlier, even though they knew the mags were coming through. It was a nightmare for the lads left. Embarrassing

Strange day that. They didn’t want to really know one got out the mini escort threw a card at me with the gremlins written on then ran away 😂 caught one with a peach between the cars and he folded up

A few coppers max yet the walked down the road slowly without doing much few from concord too 😂

Man Utd got absolutely pasted at the Corner Flag bar. Witnessed it with my own eyes. And it was 100% a Man Utd mob. Colin Blaney from the Inter City Jibbers was there.

Rangers reckon it was the best toe to toe they've ever had. 10 mins of carnage. And thats from one of their ICF lads.

I was there. Man Utd were in for a while and over time started acting up a bit, getting mouthy. Sunderland lads started gathering next door then came in. Was only a handful of punches thrown before they were spilled outside. One man utd fan got a pint glass in the top of his head but withe whole incident was over in less than a minute.

The coppers turned up at the round about I think after the tavern

Mate I know the lads who where they 100% weren't in jaimsons, they didn’t walk down with Sunderland

What year was it when some of them were in Yates early? After the game there was a decent scrap down sheepfolds. Police cleared the area before the Boro lot walked towards metro/bridge. A few of Sunderland came out that chippy that was there from behind them and a group of Sunderland appeared in front of them too coming from the bridge way. Might have been when we lost 1-3.

Aye, the few of us there stood across the road in front of them, and the entire lot of them stopped, not doing a thing. Then started giving it the biggun when more police turned up. Weird. But they did turn up in numbers, and sunderland disappeared.

I remember that, that was a canny while ago.Police horses the lot getting in between the fighting down that street in sheepfold, just before the metro station. I know a washy lad got cracked by a Sunderland fan, thinking he was boro!
