Ross Stewart valuation question

You can replace proven goal scorers - we did it. We replaced a free scoring Wyke with a free scoring Stewart.
I agree in principle. The problem is that if a new striker doesn't hit the ground running, the table is tight enough where we could quickly find ourselves in trouble.

Stewart's a safe bet for knocking goals in. We have momentum and are exceeding many people's expectations (not mine!). It's very hard to justify selling Stewart now, IMO.

Disgrace if sold for less than 15m imho. You cant replace proven goslscorers. Keeping him is priority.
Yes exactly this, given he is an all round good footballer and still young it doesn't make sense to sell him. The club will still survive financially if we offer him a bit more wages, he will certainly keep us top end of the table. Never be able to replace him with like for like. If we ever did get promotion I'm sure that valuation will increase significantly. Take the gamble Speakman, you'll regret it.

We got an initial £12.5 million rising to £20 million dependent on appearances etc for Spence. He couldn't get in our team and now can't get in Spurs team.
I would think a proven goal scorer (although not in the prem) would command at least those figures seeing as he has a season and a half left on his contract.
You couldn't say he's anywhere near Kanes quality though.

He’s top quality and you have to factor in the fact he’s still improving and has a first class attitude. A bit of a late developer, not at all dissimilar in many ways to Niall Quinn.

If we have triggered another 12 months then right now he is worth between £15-20m

And should be commanding £20-35k per week.
That’s his true market value but I’m not sure SAFC fully understand that

So I guess nobody has a clue how to put a value on LND eh?

Maybe it depends on who is asking - Brentford or Boro etc.?

I hope to God that KLD and the board have a better formula than the SMB.

Well you would think so ir he has someone at the club who knows. I would be surprised if he did not.
I would be disappointed if he went to Boro or somewhere like that.

Surely the most balanced opinion of the day.

Thanks for taking the time to look through every post to point that out! You’re wrong by the way.
I mean it’s a forum, it’s hardly a surprise I’ve read a lot of posts about our best player. I’m not wrong, when clubs can get the likes of alverez for 25m or Jesus for 50m we are not getting 40m quid for Ross Stewart man because that isn’t his value.

Teams can go in two directions. You can sell your best players or you can replace your worst ones. It’s as simple as that. What future do you want for SAFC?

Do we know each other from Kyiv by chance...O'Briens?

British and as close to a harry kane figure you’ll see right now so taking into account a deduction for being in the championship £30m-£40m. I’m being very serious. he's quite unique in ability.
He is what I call a "Proper centre forward", with a good touch, quick for a tall guy, hassles the life out of defenders and.... Most crucially, he's cool as ice in front of goal. I certainly wouldn't even pick up the phone for less than 15 million, because if you're a desperate, misfiring Southampton, Forest, or dare I say it, Everton.... That is peanuts by today's standards.

Does anyone seriously think he’ll leave for Boro or Rangers?
Huge step backwards that.
Brentford however could offer him a much easier option. No pressure, bigger wages and living South just outside the West end of London.
15m minimum plus add on’s.
Of course i’d rather he stays and we give him the contract he deserves.
