People reporting hand driers not working suggests to me that the maintenance situation has not changed. Now, it might do in time, but basics like that would be sorted if they had a funded maintenance team.
granted. i agree that very little has changed within the stadium. however, it is false to say that categorically, KLD hasn't changed anything in terms of facilities. naturally, they have to prioritise.

ensuring we have a functioning ticket office, club shop, academy and playing squad naturally take priority over hand dryers etc.

why would a new investor be more likely to spend money on the stadium than the current ones? the current ones have the cash-just not the competence is my view.
Because hopefully if we get promoted back to the big time, we can find hopefully people with the funds to take us to the next level, SD and JS can’t take us that far.

for exaample..when the stadium is used for concerts..who puts out the stage etc..are those in house safc employees or external people?
External clearly, but day to day maintenance is managed in house, even if they contract out certain maintenance aspects.

There’s defiantly room outside to widen the Concourses and bring a street food element micro brew bars etc , even if it’s just an outside perimeter with stack like set up for kiosks which wouldn’t cost much
exactly......just build another perimeter wall outside of the existing one and make it a fanzone with vendors....think someone posted a picture of a stadium somewhere who had done this on a thread a few weeks ago......

Nothing at the Sol will be improved as the moneys going to be going on other things. It needs some desperate tlc and Unless we get promoted and get new investment itll stay like that foreseeable imo.

Agree, with 2 /3 of the last ownership still here, i can’t understand what makes people think its gonna be any different, yeah KLD,s here but hes not going to plough money into the stadium when the other 2 wont.
sartori was no longer aligned with donald and methven, which is probably why he didn't invest further, earlier.

he and KLD have the majority, and are employees of SAFC. donald is nothing but a turd that won't flush hanging on in hope we return to the Premier league and he cashes in his 19 percent.

but you said they were corporate now and you wanted it less so?
if by that you mean the look and feel, thats fari enough..but do the concourse attendees [ay more for being in an area thats done up in a coprorate way?
Once more as you've never set foot in the sol. Corporate areas are boxes and Corp suites. I'm referring to concourses entered via turnstiles by average fans. These had player themed bars, banners hanging fron celings and info on ex players on walls. This was binned off for corporate looking bar names like Ice bar etc. It added nothing and made the feel of the grounds interior seem soul less.

This contributes to a less than welcoming environment where average supporters are supposed to be welcomed to before and after games. If so we could spend, if they ever get tills sorted and contribute to club.

shop is less important than all the rest as it currently works very well

the ticket office seems to be ok..we get loads of people at games so they bought tickets somewhere..
and soening money on players is much less priudent than spending it on the stadium

sartori is not an employee..he is an employee of monaco and a non exec director at safc.
KLD has mentioned donald putting cash in mind

My idea was to bring the turnstiles forward and have an outdoor area/concourse as well as the current indoor. I made a thread and the feedback was very positive. I think it would be more cost effective than actually extending the stadiums concourse.

when ypu say it adds nothing..are the bars there now..charging more for alcohol than the previous ones?
If so, they may be adding money,..and i have heard that can be used to buy things...
football is a middle class game now..thats why posh boys want to own clubs

would you provide a little number from your book of rhymes, grimes me old Mucka? If so I am in. If not, naturally, I'm out.

Needs to be budgeted for. It makes us look bad if the place is in shit state. Concerts are less likely to return and sponsors are frightened off. Not looking at improvements, just maintenance, wouldn't be millions. We're getting more than budgeted for in TV money, ringfence funds from one game, would help.

hmmm. most internal maintenance such as hand dryers, toilets, etc are all contracted out?
I agree, but you need internal people to manage a maintenance programme. With a funded set up, certain tasks would be sorted in house, more specialist tasks contracted out. Same in any big organisation.

sorry. by employee I meant a non exec director. excuse my language.

donald isn't even that

who told you the other two wont?
they have both ploughed millions into the club...KLD says they have put in when asked.
Theyve put in what they had to, thats it.

Totally agree, christ a couple of MEWPS with jet washers to clean the white cladding on the outside of the stadium would be a start, it’s absolutely manky. Wouldn’t cost much.

in regards to your second quotation, im pretty sure that had happened at the start of last season ?

Would work at the start of the season and perhaps at the end but during the autumn and winter months might not be too popular if the weather is crap.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'd even lend a hand if they like. Wouldn't even need a burger this time

I cannot believe we were seduced into that.

Sold as bringing supporters together and being a part of the clubs rebuild, a collaborative effort.

They then showed their true cowboy colours, and really they saved the cost of labour, minus the cost of a few burgers. chancers.
