Just came up from 4 years in League One where clubs were struggling to keep the gas n leccy on due to no income and they weren't half the size of the SoL or had an academy to run.

These things are important, but its going to take time for this club to get back on its feet properly and folk are going to have to be patient.

Why not raise concerns with RAWA

@Guinness Guzzler
There was a safety audit recently and numerous items had been picked up as requiring attention. As far as I'm aware they were starting to carry out some of these works during the world cup break. They did say that not all would be visible mind, but gave the impression that they were well aware that a lot of work is required. At the next meeting we can ask where they're up to, what other things are on the list to sort, and can pass on feedback from the likes of this thread and the post on twitter

It’s these things that I think billionaire and multi multi millionaire owners should be taking care of and as swiftly as possible. I understand the sustainability argument and the desire not to blow club income on inflated salaries and fees but if the ownership group haven’t got the desire or funds to make significant infrastructure improvements and make the club better through their own capital, what exactly do they want the club for?

I agree. It reflects on them, if they're bringing people to the club but it doesn't look great. A jet wash of the exterior wouldn't go amiss and wouldn't cost the earth. If the shop is open and has affordable quality gear in and the surroundings look good your more likely to get money in. Sponsors invest more likely if the ground looks better and not a tip, it all adds up.

Being patient and pointing things out aren't mutually exclusive. If the club are aware it's a start.

I haven’t been to the SoL yet this season, but to describe it as dilapidated is pretty over the top. The lad who tweeted it needs a dictionary imo. Tired? Maybe. Dated? Possibly. Dilapidated? Not a chance.
If you've not been I suggest you try. It's not far from the mark at all sadly.
It’s not great but sure there are other priorities
Team is and always will be priority but we can do multiple things at once. Davison looks to be getting a wage for nowt at present, off field we re still a mess.
