Did a tour of Bolivia and Chile and was praying all the flights were on time as had to go from Santiago to Panama to Schipol to Sunderland North.
Fortunately all connections were spot on and landed in UK Saturday evening.
Met lads met in Chaplins 10.30 Sunday morning, full of apprehension as always .
What an end to the game, a brilliant save from Pants, a lightning fast counter attack from the resulting corner, and a superb finish from 'him' (great credit to ref for playing on too).
The goal celebrations were mental, I mean, a last second winner Vs the filth at scum park just before Christmas. It doesn't get much better than that.

Sunderland north
Filth
Scum park

A triumvirate of tired old cliches.

Up your game man.

Watched it in a bar off Las Ramblas. We were sitting with our shirts on when two mags came in and gave us a load of shit. When that goal went in, we were jumping around like lunatics and they kind of slithered down in their seats and quietly slunk out of the door.

I'd watched Barca win 5-0 the day before with two Messi goals and one each from Pedro, Suarez and Pique. Probably one of the best weekends for football that I've ever had.

Kept saying to me dad and everyone around me in the away end we would get a winner in the last minute

When that kid appeared on the screen with his dad crying and the whole Sunderland end pointed and laughed. Savagery.

We ruined Christmas for the Geordie nation that day and contributed to an entire generation of children growing up on Tyneside without ever seeing Newcastle beat Sunderland

Class , fuck the lot of them.

We absolutely battered them that day. Wickham missed that header, Fletcher hit the bar, Gomez fluffed a golden chance, and I could be wrong, but I'm sure Seb had a decent chance after Johnson put us 1v0 up. The mags were very very lucky to get away with one nowt. Immense day.

I thought we would never score but it was so sweet to score such a late winner and I was lucky enough to be there.

Happy days.

I was convinced on 80 minutes they were going to beat us so went downstairs and just watched leazes park. When the roar went up I scuttled back up to sing them home. What a ponce I am, mind you I’m sure there were about a dozen of us at various windows in Sid James place

I was there in leazers but home end with a disabled lad I look after !! When we scored was very hard not to celebrate I just looked at him with my hands in my pockets with gritted teeth saying get inn !! ( won’t be doing again if we ever meet as hardest 90mins at a football match )
